Mid-level Systems Engineers employ a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT.

Duties include:

  • Conducts requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies.

  • Conducts planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.

  • Develops solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology and mentor Junior Engineers in developing these skill sets.

  • Assists the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.

  • Supports the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.

  • Assists the Government in performing systems integration activities.

  • Assists with Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.

  • Assists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.

  • Mid-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.

  • Mid-level working system engineering experience in government or industry.

Desired:

  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.

  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.

The Centralized Logging Systems and Services (CLSS) team is part of the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure group that is responsible for all aspects of the enterprise technology infrastructure, and various applications. This role will support the senior-level Infrastructure Engineering work within the enterprise Splunk environment. The contractor will support engineering functions that directly contribute to the capacity and performance of the Splunk environment. The selected individual must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, with constantly evolving needs. Will partner as a technical resource on large-scale (enterprise wide) application/infrastructure delivery initiatives. Required Qualifications * 7+ years of operating systems analysis experience, operating systems engineering experience, or a combination of both * 5+ years of experience designing and managing Splunk Dashboards, reports, lookup tables, and summary indexes, including Splunk SPL * 5+ years of Splunk experience * 5+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript * 3+ years of experience writing Splunk regular expressions to extract key tokens of data into meaningful fields Desired Qualifications * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to interact with all levels of an organization * Knowledge and understanding of the Splunk Common Information Model and applying data feeds directly and indirectly * Experience customizing Splunk Dashboards via the XML source * Experience with technical command center operations or network monitoring and management tools in a large scale enterprise environment Other Desired Qualifications * Experience with IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) premium product and MLTK is strongly desired * Splunk administration skills in an on-premises, enterprise environment ingesting >2TB daily (ideal candidate will have experience in environments in excess of 10TB or more of daily ingest) * Splunk Knowledge Object Management * Knowledge and understanding of systems, storage, and network infrastructure * Knowledge and understanding of application development, infrastructure, and architecture * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to interact with all levels of an organization * BS/BA degree or higher Job Expectations * Ability to travel up to 5% of the time * Ability to work outside of regular business hours Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
