Description:
The Systems Engineer will support MDA GMD (Ground-based Midcourse Defense) in Huntsville, AL. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) and review/revise all necessary artifacts (System Security Plan, System Categorization, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) and post within a classified database (e.g. eMASS)
Ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of systems network and data giving consideration to Cyber Resiliency and Cyber Survivability IAW DOD Instructions 8500.01 and 8510.01
Systems engineer: Required familiarity with Research and Development and Engineering Processes
Documented experience with Systems Engineering "V" for requirements development, derivation, test and verification activities
Risk analysis and mitigation development
Analysis focused on cost, schedule and performance to develop courses of action and make recommendation based on results
Presentations of results and supporting data
Acting on customer's behalf in briefs and reviews involving cybersecurity design efforts
Providing weekly input to customer in reports and charts documenting task status, action item tracking, capturing risks and estimating schedule progress toward completion
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently possess and ability to maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Must have a BS in an Engineering or STEM field, with 7+ years of experience; consideration may be given for a MS degree in lieu of years of experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong oral and written communication skills
