Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity

• Cybersecurity position.

Description:

The Systems Engineer will support MDA GMD (Ground-based Midcourse Defense) in Huntsville, AL. Duties may include (but are not limited to):

• Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) and review/revise all necessary artifacts (System Security Plan, System Categorization, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) and post within a classified database (e.g. eMASS)

• Ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of systems network and data giving consideration to Cyber Resiliency and Cyber Survivability IAW DOD Instructions 8500.01 and 8510.01

• Systems engineer: Required familiarity with Research and Development and Engineering Processes

• Documented experience with Systems Engineering "V" for requirements development, derivation, test and verification activities

• Risk analysis and mitigation development

• Analysis focused on cost, schedule and performance to develop courses of action and make recommendation based on results

• Presentations of results and supporting data

• Acting on customer's behalf in briefs and reviews involving cybersecurity design efforts

• Providing weekly input to customer in reports and charts documenting task status, action item tracking, capturing risks and estimating schedule progress toward completion

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently possess and ability to maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance

• Candidate must be a US Citizen

• Must have a BS in an Engineering or STEM field, with 7+ years of experience; consideration may be given for a MS degree in lieu of years of experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• MDA or DoD experience
