We are looking to fill the Systems Engineer position in our System Implementation Service Delivery team with an individual who is internally motivated to pursue excellence with respect to the job responsibilities, and who will continually be considering ways to increase his or her own efficiency and the team's productivity in an Agile environment. This position requires the ability to persistently engage problems and provide meaningful solutions that balance both innovation and consistency of process with Continuous Service Improvement (CSI).

Responsibilities

Server/Application Support:

  • Build shared and client specific environments both production, non-production and disaster recovery.

  • Perform server and application installations, configurations, and deployments.

  • Perform Configuration of IIS Server, creating websites, troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

  • Perform SQL Server related tasks such as database back and restore, user permissions, scripts deployments.

  • Perform Servers and applications migrations and OS upgrades.

  • Perform Active Directory tasks such as user and group creation, delegation etc.

  • Develop Systems reports in SQL Report builder using scripting and automation.

  • Triage, analyze and coordinate issues related to applications hosted on shared or client's premises.

  • Ensuring there is a focus on stabilization, security, and performance.

  • Write/update technical documentation for existing or new procedures and maintain a service catalog.

  • Overtime / after-hours support may be required for urgent issues, production core releases on weekends and during busy seasons.

Requirements

The interpersonal skills: You have effective and flexible communication skills and can comfortably explain complex problems and technical solutions to a range of audiences. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional role, and you know how to build and nurture connections with individuals across multiple locations.

Technical Skills:

Must have:

  • 5 years of experience in IT with respective Computer Software or Computer Engineering University degree.

  • Must be a United States citizen (position is based in the US)

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple Assignments.

  • Knowledge of RDBMS with good skills of SQL Server management, TSQL and SSRS (Reporting Services).

  • Windows Server 2012-2019 (installation, configuration, management & IIS Role).

  • Knowledge of Scripting (including analyzing and developing) (PowerShell, VBScript, CMD, SQL, etc.).

  • Experience with domain environments (Active Directory or LDAP).

  • Familiar with N-Tier Applications (utilizing IIS web frontend, .Net Services, SQL Server DB backend).

  • Familiar with networking (TCP/IP Protocol, DHCP, DNS, VPN).

  • Working experience with .NET development (VB.Net or C#.Net).

  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure such as Azure Storage, Azure ASG, Azure VMs, and Azure DB etc.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Octopus Deploy or Azure Devops Pipelines.

  • Knowledge of Azure Serverless, Azure DB, Azure Container Instance, Kubernetes, and Docker.

  • Knowledge of Other Cloud technologies such AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Knowledge of Dynamics CRM and GP is an asset but not required.

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
