As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

This Systems Engineering position reports directly to the Director of Technology to develop and mature advanced concepts for both internal and customer funded research efforts. You'll provide creative and agile solutions to keep our business competitive and adapting to the business environment. The successful candidate will collaborate other subject matter experts and technologists, business development team, and business analysts. The candidate should be self-motivated and be willing to adapt to changing priorities.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering, Physics or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

  • Demonstrated experience in dynamic RF link budgets to include but not limited to RF communications, Radar and Electronic Warfare techniques

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in conducting analyses of kill chains and measures to disrupt kill chains.

  • Strong communication skills to present to internal and external customers as well as author whitepapers and lead technical proposals.

  • Willingness to work on a small team performing complex engineering design evaluations for a diverse mission.

  • Experience developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) from broad capability statements for all phases of the mission.

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance required.

Preferred:

  • Masters of Science or higher degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant aerospace experience

  • Advanced experience with system modeling tools, such as SysML, Cameo Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, Agi's System Tool Kit, etc.

  • Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).

  • Experience in advanced electronic warfare, optical and RF sensing, low observables, countermeasure systems or weapons integration experience highly desired.

  • Experience in resilient multi-domain communication system analysis, design and test.

  • Experience in space command and control and operational situational awareness infrastructures.

We are a world-class manufacturer of composite structures, radomes, and antennas for military applications. You will develop and support the implementation of manufacturing composite structures and assemblies for aerospace applications for hand layup, secondary bonding, autoclave cure, trim and drill, sub-assembly and inspection into production programs, reporting directly to the Systems Engineering Manager. This role will be integral in the establishment of start-ups, prototype fabrication and development. Our work is mission critical and directly contributes to national security. Responsibilities include the following: * Integral in SQDEC (Schedule, Quality, Delivery, Employee, Cost) developing processes and product in support of business strategic and annual operating plan * Support technical programs and projects * Developing processes and products * Performing RCCA's (Root Cause & Corrective Actions) * Writing Procedures and Specifications * Support creating and presenting briefings to internal and external customers * Estimating Operations/Engineering Labor hours and authoring technical write-ups in support of proposals. The ideal candidate enjoys seeing the big picture and influencing change across the site (engineering, supply chain, and operations). You take initiative, work with direction, and enjoy being a part of small teams. Lastly, you are observant, pay attention to detail, and enjoy solving problems. Travel is less than 25% and within the US. This position may be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal level depending on the qualifications below.
