We have the unique and significant role to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center (JSC), to be part of every human spaceflight program the International Space Station (ISS), NASA's Orion spacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, the orbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back and forth to the moon's surface, and serving as the platform for deep space exploration. From critical systems on the ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanced development for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of the foundation for Gateway.
We also partner with NASA at JSC, the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samples returned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbital debris analysis, and basic research to further humankind's understanding of the origins of our solar system.

We are currently in need of a Systems Engineer
As a Systems Engineer
Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents.
Be responsible for the planning, development, review, and maintaining program requirements including Project Technical Requirements Specification (PTRS), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Verification and Validation Document (V&VD), and Verification Success Criteria (VSC).
Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering.
Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities.
Monitor submitted documents and attend design reviews
Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications.
Perform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process.
Perform ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end item documentation.
Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements.
Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews.
Work and present schedule and progress to customers.
Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Perform other duties as required.
BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct engineering experience.
At least 14 years of relevant experience in engineering or systems engineering.
Knowledge and understanding of SE.&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model based systems engineering.
Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements.
Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
Experience working in a team environment.
Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
Knowledge of power and battery systems design, test and operation.
Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork.
Experience with NASA processes.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
