Novetta has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and accomplished Systems Administrator to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be working on cutting-edge Cyber technologies. As a Systems Administrator, you will work closely with the Development, QA and Services teams to support business goals and to help ensure Novetta products are released in a timely manner.

In this role you will:

  • Design, expand and maintain production systems and network infrastructure

  • Collaborate with our architecture team to develop strategies for scaling and tuning

  • Develop and enhance process and documentation that will scale with expected rapid growth

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator in a production environment

  • 5+ years of experience with:

  • Scripting for automation

  • Virtualization

  • Supporting an Agile enterprise software development environment

  • Configuring and implementing VPN solutions

  • Configuring and maintaining routers and switches

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience with VTC and IP Phone systems

  • Experience with One-way Link and Cross Domain solutions

  • Self-starter, ability to switch directions and multi-task

The scope of the work performed includes two major service areas: cloud services and security services. Systems Engineer serve to maintain a strong awareness of technical trends in information technology, develop and maintain a strong awareness of ongoing IT projects, and business unit requirements; be able to apply the project management model (e.g. Spiral, Waterfall, Agile) selected for a given development effort; and provide analysis, design, development, deployment, and lifecycle support for innovative hardware systems and applications. Work involves being able to develop end-to-end cost analysis for projects; ensure systems being developed comply with the enterprise technical architecture; help project and program teams prepare for CIO Project Management Program control gates; and keep senior management apprised of project or program status. Assignments may include leading teams consisting of contractor personnel.
