As a Systems Engineer - Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/E3) on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team, you will support the Systems Engineering (SE) Special Disciplines Organization.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

Work in a development environment to support the design and develop technically complex systems

Apply and grow your electromagnetic engineering skills to enable the logical and systematic conversion of customer needs into total systems derived requirements and solutions

Perform and support analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

Perform and support requirements sell-off through: Compiling, organizing, performing, analyzing and documenting completed compliance verification process which assesses design performance and operational electromagnetic issues at both the package and system levels

Provide team participation and support while growing your EMC skills during: Technical Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Test Planning, System Integration, and Verification/Validation of E3 components, test setup and performance oversight

Successful candidates typically have at minimum a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Physics, or closely related technical field and/or equivalent experience

Working knowledge and conversant with Mil-Std 461/464 requirements and the applicable test methods

Basic knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) theory

Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required.)
Desired Skills:

Experience with satellite and/or missile system and/or box level test and analysis (or equivalent)

MATLAB, Excel, CST (3-D modeling software tool), and PSPICE (or equivalent) experience

Generating EMC / E3 Control Plans, procedures, Lab Reports, or equivalent

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Analysis experience

EMC test equipment experience

Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

Microsoft Office applications

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members

Active or Current DoD Secret Security clearance

The E3 support provided will include EMC analysis, test planning, and circuit test and analysis. Candidate must have experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis as related to space or flight hardware and systems. Must have experience in evaluating test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to prepare inputs to, or assist in development of: * Project documentation * Requirements verification * Requirements validation * Presentation and trade study reports/packages Here's What You'll Need: Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Science or related field is required. Degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred.
