Liquid Agency, brand marketing agency based in Silicon Valley is looking for a Systems Engineer to work in our San Jose office.
As a Systems Engineer, we are looking to you to help perform a range of technical services and support activities to design, build, and maintain internal IT systems and meet customer needs to help keep agency operations running smoothly.
The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing support in Systems Engineering, Systems Support, and other IT/IS tasks as needed.
You are responsible for:
Configure, deploy and maintain agency IT systems, including updating and maintaining full inventory of all tech systems
Identify solutions to improve and maintain software/systems at optimal operation and configured to best practices
Proactively make certain systems are patched, backed up, and on current virus protection
Monitor and evaluating usage stats in order to properly meet growth requirements
Provide Tier 2 support requests via email, telephone, slack, or in person
Troubleshoot a variety of technical computer issues and inquiries regarding systems operations and use of applications in a timely, service oriented manner
Manage service level agreements as defined by the Director of IS
Configure and install computer systems for new team members and ensure each person is properly trained on systems operations and use of applications
Liaison with 3rd party providers as needed
Support IS projects and vendor relations where applicable
Work across department teams to support ongoing organization initiatives
Stay well informed of latest systems and technology information related to Liquid' infrastructure
Other responsibilities and duties as needed
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Studies or related field
4-6 years of hands-on System Administration experience
Experience supporting and deploying primarily MacOS and Windows
Solid working knowledge of server hardware, Cisco networking, virtualization and cloud.
Experience supporting and deploying G-Suite, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe CC
Experience with SAAS and cloud hosting solutions.
Proven ability to work independently to accomplish tasks and solve highly complex problems with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of composing process and procedure documentation, documenting complex network and system designs, and training users
Patience, a customer friendly approach and ability to work in a team environment amongst all levels of the organization
Desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Love of technical challenges and the sense of pride it brings to solve them
This is a 24/7 on call as needed role. Night and weekend work is to be expected
Solid working knowledge of G-Suite, & Jamf
Experience Supporting and Deploying Windows Active Directory
Experience with SolarWinds, Jira, VMWare / Hyper-V
Cisco Certifications (CCNA / CCNP) / Microsoft Certifications (MCSE)
Agency or Professional Services Experience / Background
