Systems Engineer Intern

Auria is seeking a talented Systems Engineer Intern to design and test web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling. The Systems Engineer Intern may provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and design and test new software products. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, and able to come up with innovative solutions to challenging problems. This is a hybrid position and can be filled in Greenbelt, MD or Boulder, CO. Auria offers a casual, friendly work environment.

Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

Candidates will work in small development teams on various aspects of the development lifecycle including requirements, design, documentation, testing, and deployment. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required. They will interact internally with Software Engineers and Systems Engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Working towards BS in Engineering or equivalent.

• Classwork in in aerospace, astronomy, or systems engineering.

• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Desired Skills:

• Software development or scripting experience (Java, C#, python, etc).

• SQL or database experience.

• Map application or GIS experience.
