Summary:

Systems engineering role supporting the W87-1. Work as a part of the W87-1 Systems team to facilitate and report progress on various PRTs. Evaluate technical aspects of the design and manufacturing and communicate with PRTs and DA Systems counterparts.

You Must Have:

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
  • At least 2 years engineering experience

What You'll Do The Systems Engineer role is to design, implement, monitor, maintain, and optimize our company's IT infrastructure. This person will work with senior team members to ensure the highest levels of availability and performance of systems as well as the security of data. For example, backup systems operations and business continuity practices, network security, hardware/software upgrades, and virtual/cloud infrastructure support. The Systems Engineer on the Cloud Inventory® Team will also work with developers and other users to implement, troubleshoot, and secure applications that are critical to the business. Finally, the Systems Engineer will strive to seek out the latest technology and identify ways to improve our company's IT infrastructure and support the goals of the company. Here's a high-level look at your primary responsibilities: * Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. Including networking, operating systems up to and including Windows Server 2019, storage, security, and cloud infrastructure. * Perform maintenance functions to support infrastructure including system installation, administration, patching, maintaining current anti-malware systems and development support. * Configure and monitor backup operations including regular testing, along with performing restores when necessary. * Work with IT managers and internal teams to deliver timely solutions to meet business objectives. * Properly install and configure both physical and virtual servers to meet the business needs of the IT department and other business units. * Produce documentation of processes and systems in an effective way both for end-users and team members. * Advise IT teams and/or IT Helpdesk on solutions for system-related/user incidents. * Provide 2nd level support for applications and related systems. * Keep up to date on technology trends and develop and incorporate them within assignments as appropriate. * Consult with vendors and other IT personnel to systems enhancements and problem resolution * Work with other business units within the company to assist on projects requiring IT expertise * Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by managers. You Have * A minimum of 3-4 years in a similar role. * Familiarity with VMWare virtual infrastructure and associated networking/storage technologies. * Working knowledge of Windows, Group Policy and Active Directory, networking and data communication technology. * Experience configuring and maintaining VMware infrastructure. * Experience administering Office 365 * Experience with networking infrastructure including switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc. * Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills * Ability to develop strong relationships with a diverse group of users. * Ability to manage multiple priorities. * Possess drive and motivation for achievement with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly and be motivated by accomplishing goals. * Familiarity with relational database technologies (SQL). * Technical troubleshooting skills for supporting the environments. * Familiarity with or a willingness to learn various backup software systems. * Efficient project management and time management skills. Preferable Qualifications * Experience with Cisco security technologies such as ISE, Stealthwatch, and AMP for Endpoints. * Cisco CCNA certification * Experience configuring Cisco networking hardware. Including Cisco ASA VPN expertise * Knowledge of Veeam backup solutions * Advanced experience with Office 365 platform.
