Overview

CT- 442 The Shipboard Network Systems Group requires engineers to assist in Network Architecture and System Engineering related to contractor furnished as well as government furnished network systems.

Engineers are required to lead or assist in the Network and System Engineering efforts ranging from system design, integration, configuration, simulation and stimulation, technical documentation, delivery, system level testing and post-delivery support that includes analysis and resolution of identified problems.

This position will require that the engineer perform technology investigations and trade-studies, identify/resolve risks, validate methods to ensure production quality end products, and interface with a Spirent device to stimulate and analyze an existing network architecture and its potential enhancements. The candidate will also be required to interface with NAVSEA, government and commercial vendors as well as other EB Departments.

Frequent travel to other facilities is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Candidate are required to possess a strong knowledge of network system design/development. Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are required. Candidates must be highly motivated, strong team players and able to balance multiple task and duties.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Information Technology. Other Engineering or Computer degrees with relevant experience will be considered as well
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in network architecture and control systems

Preferred:

  • Use of Spirent device

  • Specific experience in network system development, integration, instillation and test
