This position is for a Test and Evaluation role as a Flying Qualities Systems Engineer, for Flight Test on F-22 Raptor, Edwards AFB, CA. In this position, the incumbent will be part of a test team supporting flight test missions.

Will be required to monitor data real-time in a Mission Control Room and participate in test maneuver development. Will generate test & safety planning documents, pre-flight predictions and test reporting. Will be required to attend mission briefs & debriefs, support planning TPWG, TRB, SRBs as well as perform post test data analysis/review.

This position will require interacting with several disciplines as they relate to flight test, such as flight test engineers, configuration management, supportability, FTW IPTs and other contractors supporting developmental test as well as working directly with the customer. This position will also support the LM Chief Engineer and taskings as required. This position will also be responsible for training/mentoring new engineers in the CTF & LM flight test techniques and best practices.

This position may require working extended hours and weekends.

Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

A level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Flight Science flight test experience or studies

Flight Test Experience

Experience with data analysis tools and software

Desired Skills:

F-22 Flight Test Experience

Mass Properties experience

Experience or studies in aerodynamics, fluid mechanics and/or static & dynamics

Experience or studies in airframe structural testing

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $77,600 - $146,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
