Overview

The Quality Assurance Integrated Product Development Environment Certification, Configuration Management, and Integration Team is seeking a motivated, detail oriented person to help Electric Boat prepare for as well as maintain certification efforts. This person will ensure business systems, policies & procedures, and key decisions provide the proper quality control for Design & Engineering documents - with respect to legacy ship designs, new ship designs, ship construction, overhaul & repair, and ship life cycle management.

Roles & responsibilities will include:

  • Learning, becoming proficient, and mentoring others in the processes by which Electric Boat configuration manages as well as certifies ships

  • This will also involve becoming familiar with Electric Boat's change process

  • Using this knowledge in configuration management as well as certification to -

  • Help make and circulate key decisions

  • Work in cross functional teams

  • Support future design initiatives

  • Leading and / or supporting various Information Technology tasks as well as change requests to implement software changes and new business systems

  • This will involve developing requirements, writing formal design documents (from a business perspective), working with key stakeholders, supporting meetings with Information Technology, providing status updates, approving solution approaches, developing test scripts, testing, and validating final solutions

  • Developing new processes and / or looking for efficiencies with current processes

  • Authoring new and / or updating existing procedures

  • Participating in and presenting at customer meetings

  • Working and collaborating in a team environment

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related technical field

  • Usage / working level experience with CATIA, CDM, EB3G, JCALS, or NX/Teamcenter

  • Internal candidates must be from organizations oustide Operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

Preferred:

  • 2 or more years of relevant experiences

  • Configuration management and certification experience

  • Knowledge of the end to end process for submarines

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
