In support of our U.S. Army Customer, the Ground Vehicle Systems Engineer will support programs in areas such as developing and managing System Level requirements, performing requirements inspections and peer reviews to assure quality requirements.

Candidate will provide support to projects to develop and manage interfaces of defense weapon systems. Support will also include requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, functional analysis and allocation, preparation and conducting of technical reviews, development of system architectures, and development of system specifications and or systems models. Candidate will also support trade study and decision analysis activities.

Candidate will have demonstrated experience in embedded systems development, engineering processes and methodologies (e.g. ISO, CMMI), and possess the ability to lead programs and interact with the clients to comprehend and decompose complicated platform requirements into structured and manageable engineering components across multiple engineering disciplines. Will identify high level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the target system architecture

Essential Job Functions:

Interface directly with Army Program Managers and developmental organizations to identify in-vehicle network, data and video architectures and requirements for Combat Vehicle Systems.

Provide expertise and direction in performing In-Vehicle Network and Data System Architecture, Requirements Analysis, Design, Implementation, Test and Installation pertaining to the integration of C4 subsystems onto combat vehicle systems.

Develop and/or provide inputs to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs, and schedule.

Provide expertise and direction as required to a team of diversified engineers and technicians

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science and 10 years of experience.

Experience with military systems and leadership responsibilities in a large project or effort.

Ability to obtain a Government security clearance.

Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to a Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts.

Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.

Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering such as SysML, UML, DoDAF, UPDM

Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks).

Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.

Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.

Experience in developing and executing System Level Plans.

Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).

Desired Skills:

Prior contractor experience.

Prior military.

Experience with developing and/or integrating Military C4ISR systems, ideally on Ground Combat Vehicle platforms.

Knowledge of the Army's VICTORY Architecture and Standards.

Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation methods (DIACAP, DoDI-8500.2 (Information Assurance Implementation).

Experience with Cross Domain Solutions, Network Gateways, Routers, Switches, Hubs, Cabling.

Experience with military communications equipment for Ground Combat Vehicles.

Experience with Army Acquisition System.

Experience in Army Interoperability Certification (AIC).

Experience in Process Improvement Initiatives such as CMMI

Experience in Systems of Systems Architectures for Army Systems.
