Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer in Burbank, CA. In the role, you will use structured processes to develop systems for high reliability aerospace products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with technical staff and all functional groups to develop or test safety critical embedded systems.

  • Develop and ensure full traceability of customer specification requirements to system requirements.

  • Prepare technical documentation necessary to satisfy customer and program requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) from a four-year college or university.

  • GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Understand Systems Engineering principles, including interpreting and writing requirements, system architectures and designs.

  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation (ie. Simulink) a plus.

  • Should be self-directed/motivated, and work and communicate well within a team that consists of several engineering disciplines.

  • Use effective English communication in presentations, analyses, and reports.

  • Project-oriented and be able to multi-task.

Eligibility Requirement:

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

We are a 24/7 Transmission Engineering & Operations shop and provide transmission of 12 feeds for the cable networks via satellite/fiber to MSO's. We Build and support all compression, encryption and troubleshooting that may arise with MVPD's and DMVPD's. Services include Disney Channel, Freeform, Disney XD, Disney Junior and ABC on our over the top platforms (Hulu, Sony, Youtube, DirecTV Now). Were looking for a Transmission Engineer who will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of transmission systems. Additional duties include link budgets analysis, system design, provisioning and ongoing maintenance and upgrades. This position reports to the Director of Transmission Operations and will support/assist in the day to day technical operations of the Earth station.
