Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the enterprise Intel systems

  • Includes implementation, configuration, coordination, maintenance, troubleshooting and security

  • Extremely important that all Intel systems offer highest reliability and performance possible.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree strongly preferred

  • High School diploma required with a minimum of five (5) years of experience

  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years successfully supporting an Enterprise scale environment of Windows servers required

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience with powershell and scripting required

  • Prior experience with Cisco UCS hardware a plus.

  • Experience with Rightfax, Exchange, SQL, Clustering, Vmware, Citrix, Commvault and Service Now a plus.

About the Job The Junior Traffic Systems Field Engineer designs, optimizes and maintains traffic signal system timing plans on statewide signals and state signal systems within an assigned region or regions of Indiana to improve traffic flow. The incumbent is responsible to achieve and maintain a high degree of technical expertise of the proper function, design and operation of complete traffic systems and subsystems including communications, control hardware and software. A Day in the Life * Responsible for field deployments and site adjustments of complex traffic systems during peak traffic periods; * Participates in Quality Assurance(QA)/Quality Control(QC) programs to ensure policy and best practices are actively deployed; * Coordinates with multi-jurisdictional governmental units and/or officials (i.e. Federal Highway Administration, local authorities and county officials, consultants, private industries and general public)relating to the agency's activities; * Investigates signal timing complaints; * Assists in the review of plans and contracts for new and modernized traffic signal systems; * Operates and installs control, communications, detection and traffic data management systems; * Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Effort: A large portion of the responsibilities require the incumbent to work outdoors and in a vehicle about 50% of the time and in the office or laboratory the other 50% of the time. Working Conditions: Exposure to insects, uneven terrain, extreme weather, and electricity & electrical components are a possibility.This position also required travel and work on site in various regions of the state. Flexible work schedule and limited overnight travel is required. What We're Looking For * Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school; * Must have an Indiana drivers license; * Ability to work specifically with traffic control equipment and technical and computer networks; * Must have the ability to read and interpret a wide variety of contracts, plans, laws, administrative rules and regulations; * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; * Must be willing to travel throughout the state, working with district crews; * Must be able to read and interpret specifications, standards, and policy and apply to operations; * Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment; * Must be able to work independently; * Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and establish credibility; * Ability to work with internal and external customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations.
