Be part of a dynamic and innovative technology team that develops a global mobility network for private, commercial, and government users. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with several service providers, equipment vendors, and internal product development teams across the globe on cutting-edge wireless technologies such as SATCOM, LTE, Wi-Fi, and other wireless capabilities.

You will participate in product envisioning and product development phases, as well as driving rapid prototyping activities. You will also support the delivery of service to the different markets we support, including system analysis, performance optimization, service reliability, and business analytics.

The successful candidate should have an academic background in digital communications, wireless or computer communication networks and the ability to understand detailed technical design, implementation and issues related to the listed wireless technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the creation and management of systems engineering activities

  • Support and drive development and service delivery of end-to-end system solutions

  • Understand details of underlying technology and product capabilities

  • Establish relationships and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to translate user needs into a complete description of system requirements that are aligned with product roadmaps

  • Develop system use cases and drive system architecture

  • Work in a collaborative team environment; accurately and fully describe user needs to the business and development teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

  • 5+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience

  • Communication system architecture and design experience

  • Strong wireless communications systems expertise

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferences:

  • MSEE with a senior focus in Wireless Communication Systems

  • Minimum GPA: 3.4

  • Academic course-work in a number of the following areas: Digital Communications, Mobile Communications, Communication Theory/Systems, Computer networks (TCP/IP)

  • Experience with data services including knowledge of protocols such as RTP/TCP/UDP/IP

  • Linux experience

  • Hands-on experience working with cellular networks or research in wireless communications/network is a plus

  • Exposure to network planning, measurement and analysis

  • Programming skills in C/C++/Perl/Python/MATLAB programming project experience using these is a strong plus

JOB OVERVIEW This technical position provides data and computational capacity that facilitates major business services for Callaway worldwide, including those which are external-facing and direct to the consumer. This position implements new server technologies that minimize operations while managing a global enterprise environment that is highly available, agile and anti-fragile.
