Position: Systems Engineer


We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work closely with a Named Account Manager in a defined territory. The Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.


  • Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.

  • Sales calls - be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer or educate the customer and partner on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration.

  • Conversant with networking applications and solutions.

  • Post-sales - be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate and resolve customer's technical issues.

  • Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.

Required Skills:

  • 5 - 8 years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer

  • 5 - 7 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration

  • Proven understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP

  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti Virus.

  • Solid understanding in the following technologies and protocols: RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES

  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required

  • Exceptional presentation skills


  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Graduate Degree favorable

In this role, the Radar Systems Engineer primary role will be responsible for proper operation, repair and troubleshooting of the power generation and support of the Major End Item (MEI) PPU and TPY-2 system while supporting scheduled maintenance using hardware test methodologies and World Class Tool Kits. <br><br> As a secondary role, the engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving radar system anomalies using engineering test methodologies and software tools. The Engineer will also interpret diagnostics to assess overall health of the radar MEI as well as assist in providing weekly status reports. The Power Engineer will comply with all QA and Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) reporting requirements associated with providing accurate and complete statuses in a timely manner.</p><p>The Systems Engineer will interface with the support contactors of the power generation and power conversion equipment on an as required basis. Candidate will provide guidance to the customer/user personnel in establishing continuous operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques in support of the radar system Power Generation. The candidate will review all ALCS data to ensure that all required data has been entered to include ITR's, PMCS, and other areas as required and contains sufficient information for Failure Review Board evaluations.</p><p>Please note - This role will require a US Expat to forward deploy to United Arab Emirates (UAE) (site to be determined), under the terms of an MOU/Long Term International Assignment managed by Raytheon International Assignment Services (IAS).</p><p>Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications.</p><p>Due to country and customer requirements, as a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof prior to the start date.</p><p>CURRENT ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED.</p><p>The selected candidate must be able to work in an extreme desert heat environment.</p><p>Required Skills:</p><p>Must have at least 6 years of related Systems Engineering, Power Generation, Power Conversion and or Radar systems experience.</p><p>Must be experienced in Linux or other UNIX based OS platforms (Solaris, HP-UX, etc.) x86 servers</p><p>Knowledge of radar theory and experience with Radar X-Band hardware/software concepts, RF systems, troubleshooting, and reading/utilizing hardware schematics</p><p>Possess an extensive level of proficiency on equipment Prime Power Unit (PPU) that uses a Caterpillar C32 and SR4 alternator.</p><p>Must be well-rounded and able to be cross-trained to support other disciplines in support of the TPY-2 asset.</p><p>Experience in maintaining and providing assessment and corrective actions on faulted equipment, and installation and testing of engineering modifications/updates</p><p>Must be experienced and familiar with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and test. (e.g. Dranetz meter, Schweitzer relay, Hi-Pot tester).</p><p>Ability to be flexible with related work assignments to include deployment to work locations at various sites internationally.</p><p>Documented experience on DOD or Missile Defense Programs.</p><p>Must be proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).</p><p>Knowledge of the safe work practices in regard to operation and sustainment of electrical power generation equipment.</p><p>Ability to be flexible with related work assignments.</p><p>Demonstrated excellence in past work performance.</p><p>Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project</p><p>management.
