Job Description:
Our Client is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with a current TS/SCI w/CI poly for satellite Operations and Maintenance (O&M) positions.
The selected candidate(s) will join a skilled O&M team working in a 24/7 operations environment. The O&M team is responsible for all aspects of Operations Planning and Command and Control, including monitoring day-to-day activities as well as identifying and solving challenging problems as they occur. After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate(s) will be part of a certified team of subject matter experts that are integral to our customer's success.

Job Duties:
Build and/or execute a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems.
Technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario at hand.
Document discrepancies as they occur.
Implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system anomalies.
Cross-train in other operator positions as assigned and assist with training of other personnel on the contract team.
Work in a dynamic small team environment (3-7 people).
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
Must hold a current TS/SCI security clearance with CI poly.
This position is in support of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. As such:
Availability for non-scheduled call-in is required.
The job assignment requires working a rotating shift schedule.
Availability to work overtime is required.
Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have proven experience performing work successfully in a collaborative environment with other organizational domains.
Must have demonstrated experience with executing assigned tasks to meet technical objectives.

Desired Skills:
Experience working a rotating shift schedule.
Experience giving and receiving training to/from a wide range of learning/teaching styles.
Experience working in a virtual team environment.
Experience using both Windows and UNIX platforms.
Experience with Perl, VBA, or other scripting languages.
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.

Required Education (including Major):
Must have a BS/BA (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience; or MS/MA (STEM preferred); a minimum of 10 years combined military and/or relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of education.

VIEW JOBS 11/17/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-15T00:00 Position Overview Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space & Launch program, is seeking a Operations Systems Support Engineer (Level 3) in Las Cruces, NM. This position operates in a highly dynamic environment so the candidate is expected to work within tight timelines with rapidly changing priorities. Operations Systems Support Engineer is a day-staff member with multiple responsibilities, largely dependent on mission needs. You will need to become a certified Space Vehicle Controller that is be responsible for command and control of space vehicles (SV), telemetry monitoring, and execution and verification of products loaded to the SV. This is an M-F position, but does require some nights and weekends for special activities, anomaly resolution and crew coverage. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. Primary Responsibilities * Training, documentation, crew-relief and other OSSE tasks. * Write procedures, work closely with VE and is a facilitator between management and the crews. * Use MS-Windows or UNIX based computers for the development of the operational plan and analysis of data collected in support of planning future contacts or anomaly resolution. * Coordination with management and peers to ensure the integrity of high quality operational products, including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration. * Analyze technical data, verify and sustain specific systems configuration in accordance with defined constraints and operational requirements. * Monitor system performance and control system elements by executing commands to change the system configuration in order to achieve mission objectives. * May support future system testing and integration requirements. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Basic (Required) Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree or higher is required. Preferred (Desired) Qualifications * Classroom or work related experience with aerospace engineering vehicles and software skills. Additional Information: This position requires the successful completion of a certification program.
