We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. This candidate will help us as we embark on our multi-cloud journey with a primary focus on operating within our DevOps environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing complex infrastructure solutions with this high skill level in identity management (AD, Azure AD, and Okta), and experience with scripting, configuration, orchestration, and automation all in a multi-cloud environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams with solutioning in the cloud
Investigate automation opportunities to increase speed and efficiency.
Perform automation, integration, and orchestration services
Implement and follow Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of cloud-based systems
Automate operational tasks, monitoring, and incident response to enhance system stability and consistency
Help develop future direction for identity management across cloud environments including automating
Implement integration of identity management for all software including SaaS integration, application rollouts, and 3rd party vendors
Operate within DevOps culture and practices, promoting collaboration between development and operations teams
Operate within robust CI/CD pipelines for deploying, testing, and releasing applications on AWS
Work with modern IaC principles in supporting our software and platform engineering provisioning, support, and maintenance
Collaborate with Service Delivery and Infrastructure Services teams on identity management
Provide technical leadership in selecting appropriate services and technologies to achieve optimal performance and cost-effectiveness
Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization
Implement cost management strategies, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost control across cloud services
Partner with our security team to implement best practices for securing cloud environments and ensuring compliance with Clayco and industry standards
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities
Qualifications:
Strong ownership and technical leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in operating and solutioning in the cloud, with a strong emphasis on multi-cloud operations
Understanding of cloud architecture principles, including infrastructure design, microservices, containers, and IaC
Strong expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and platform engineering concepts
Proficiency in DevOps methodologies and tools for automation
Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc., are highly desirable
Experience with security best practices, compliance frameworks, and cloud-native security solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
