Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and play a crucial role in ensuring the stable operation of our in-house server and computer systems. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in system administration, troubleshooting, and optimization while making a meaningful impact on our organization's technological infrastructure.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all server software and hardware. You will collaborate closely with other IT staff and various departments, ensuring seamless system integration and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support and guidance to System Administrators and other IT staff

  • Design and manage domain file structure, including DFS shares and security

  • Architect and maintain Active Directory structure, security groups, and access rights

  • Plan and implement system and domain capacity increases to meet growing needs

  • Administer and maintain core domain servers and services, including Exchange, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and Backup solutions

  • Research and implement new server solutions and execute major server migrations

  • Schedule and perform regular server patching, repairs, and optimization

  • Engage with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure domain products and services

  • Perform system asset management, including maintenance of Active Directory user and computer accounts

  • Monitor and analyze domain server performance, logs, and provide statistical reporting

  • Proactively monitor and address server-related issues to ensure optimal performance

  • Manage and maintain System Center suite, including Service Manager, Configuration Manager, and Operations Manager

  • Audit user system access and manage access exception requests

  • Evaluate and enforce security procedures, file system security, and system patch levels

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Proven technical knowledge of network and server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows platforms

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and SQL is preferred

  • Strong understanding of current network hardware, protocols, and standards

  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
