Position Description:

• Assist with integration and testing of a System of Systems;
• Support system and component owners; provide quality control and oversight
• Identify the appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts for subsystems;
• Determine the external interfaces requirements necessary to support subsystem integration and testing, and arrange to simulate or supply them;
• Identify any resources needed to conduct the integration and test functions, including identifying staffing requirements, tools and test equipment, installation support materials and external vendor support;
• Direct the configuration of equipment and subsystems into the PSAC environments;
• Coordinate, monitor and control all technical activities needed to support integration with the project and program management team;
• Lead technical discussions in integration planning and review meetings and managing the action items;

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Minimum 12 years of experience in a particular technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology

We are expanding to a new cutting edge, fully automated facility in Brooklyn, with production beginning at the end of 2020. More and larger farms are in the works. Our mission is to heal the broken food system and reconnect eaters with flavorful and nutritious local food.</p> <p>In this role, you will work closely with the CTO and Engineering Director, as well as colleagues from across Engineering, R&amp;D, Operations, and Quality Assurance. You will support the design, engineering and development of Upward Farms’ growing and manufacturing systems. </p><p><strong>Success</strong><br></p><p>Your objective is to support the Architecture Construction and Engineering team as we iterate upon our systems, integrate improvements to existing facilities, and design and engineer new facilities. There will be projects across structural, mechanical, manufacturing and fluids engineering that will need support, whether it be drafting and drawing review, spreadsheet development, sourcing and purchasing, or system punchlist and commissioning management. </p><p></p><p>Success in this role will be measured through hitting deliverables on time and delivering organized engineering documents and drawings.
