Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer - Stafford, VA

Seeking Systems Engineers at different experience levels, with a strong background in technical support to Weapons, Command and Control, Software, Configuration Management, and Production for our customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:

• Develop and/or revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation (e.g. Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)

• Develop and review Performance Specification, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), and assist with the development of product and component level specifications

• Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio.

• Develop and review baseline documentation, Engineering Change Proposals, Requests for Variance, Notices of Revision and Configuration Management Plan Annexes.

• Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)

• Develop Technical Review Action Plans and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process

• Develop ECPs and participate at Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)

• Manage development and assist with the development of test strategies, procedures, and plans

• Support development of the Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plan/Simple Acquisition Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)/Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Fielding Plans, Disposal Plans, DMSMS Plans)

• Support development of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs)

• Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of test events and operational evaluations.

• Support systems safety efforts and develop the Programmatic Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and any other required documentation to support the appropriate safety releases

• Provide input to support cybersecurity efforts, monitor IA vulnerability alerts, and ensure appropriate security actions are taken.

• Participate in technical and management IPTs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical/scientific discipline; years of relevant experience commensurate with required level

• Experience with SETRs and CCBs documentation is required for mid and senior levels

• Experience in developing acquisition documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events is required for mid and senior levels

• Ability to effectively work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government personnel is required

• Excellent MS Office and Visio skills are required

• DAWIA Foundational Certification in Engineering & Technical Management or equivalent strongly desired for mid-levels, Practitioner certification for senior levels. Legacy DAWIA Level II Certification or higher is also applicable

• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent verbal communication skills

• A proactive, self-starter with a history of demonstrating initiative

• Experience in the Government Acquisition environment required for mid and senior levels

• Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance

Salary Range - $80K to $110K

This position is contingent upon contract award.
