Systems Engineer - Stafford, VA
Seeking Systems Engineers at different experience levels, with a strong background in technical support to Weapons, Command and Control, Software, Configuration Management, and Production for our customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:
Develop and/or revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation (e.g. Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
Develop and review Performance Specification, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), and assist with the development of product and component level specifications
Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio.
Develop and review baseline documentation, Engineering Change Proposals, Requests for Variance, Notices of Revision and Configuration Management Plan Annexes.
Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
Develop Technical Review Action Plans and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process
Develop ECPs and participate at Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
Manage development and assist with the development of test strategies, procedures, and plans
Support development of the Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plan/Simple Acquisition Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)/Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Fielding Plans, Disposal Plans, DMSMS Plans)
Support development of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs)
Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of test events and operational evaluations.
Support systems safety efforts and develop the Programmatic Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and any other required documentation to support the appropriate safety releases
Provide input to support cybersecurity efforts, monitor IA vulnerability alerts, and ensure appropriate security actions are taken.
Participate in technical and management IPTs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical/scientific discipline; years of relevant experience commensurate with required level
Experience with SETRs and CCBs documentation is required for mid and senior levels
Experience in developing acquisition documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events is required for mid and senior levels
Ability to effectively work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government personnel is required
Excellent MS Office and Visio skills are required
DAWIA Foundational Certification in Engineering & Technical Management or equivalent strongly desired for mid-levels, Practitioner certification for senior levels. Legacy DAWIA Level II Certification or higher is also applicable
Must be detail-oriented and have excellent verbal communication skills
A proactive, self-starter with a history of demonstrating initiative
Experience in the Government Acquisition environment required for mid and senior levels
Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
Salary Range - $80K to $110K
This position is contingent upon contract award.
