SUMMARY

The Systems Architect will support the development, integration, and testing of NCDSMO approved cross domain solutions and related technologies, to include email, transfer of software, voice and video, file sharing/transfer capabilities, and other related Enterprise Cross Domain Services Provider (ECDSP) requirements.

As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and update the design, architecture, and systems documentation related to these solutions and technologies in accordance with the appropriate deliverables.

Conduct technology analysis to determine what components provide the best value to the CDES by analyzing existing and emerging technologies (e.g. cloud), that will involve identifying components and related technologies.

Provide updated Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) diagrams for the solutions such as Operational Viewpoint-1, System Viewpoint-1 and other related DoDAF viewpoint and models.

Provide system administrator's manuals, system design documents, technology assessment reports, engineering and implementation plans, transition plans, requirements specification documents, interface control documents, security requirements traceability matrices, functional and security test plans, systems readiness review documentation, preliminary design review briefings, critical design review briefings, and continuity of operations procedures.

Conduct Preliminary Design Reviews and Critical Design Reviews an average of five (5) times per year.

Travel to conduct some of the activities in this task, at the direction of the Government. Travel requirements average two weeks per year to Data Center (DC) Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) site. Some of the work can be done remotely after the initial installation.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit.

Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
