An industry-leading video engagement platform with offices in New Jersey is hiring a Systems and Network Support Engineer. This company makes technology used across the globe and they need someone to assist their clients with tier 1/2 technical support.
Experience with systems/server, network and user support are musts as is excellent communication, written and verbal. They are willing to pay up to $60,000 for the right candidate.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years experience between network, server and user support
Experience with Windows Server 2012 and 2016
Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls
Excellent customer support, ability to work closely with clients and excellent communication, written and verbal
Desired Skills & Experience
Current CCNA or higher
Current MCSE or higher

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 Overview Supervises the personnel assigned to the Boiler Room, manages their activities and insures that boilers, chillers, cooling towers and all associated equipment is operated in a proper, safe and legal manner. Assures necessary resources are provided to insure that the systems and building elements are addressed either through Preventive Maintenance, routine maintenance, repair or replacement as appropriate with the ultimate goal of insuring an uninterrupted operation of the medical center. Responsibilities Manages the activities of stationary engineers that are engaged in boiler room mechanical systems operation and maintenance functions as well as similar equipment located elsewhere within the facility. 2. Coordinates shop operations across all three shifts, including weekends and insures response to emergency operations when required. 3. Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all building mechanical systems and major components, including but not limited to; heating hot water supply and return systems, steam supply and condensate return systems, chilled water supply and return systems, domestic hot water heating systems, pumps, air compressors, etc. 4. Has thorough knowledge of computerized Building Automation System. 5. Directly responsible for monitoring, maintenance and repair of steam condensate pump sets throughout the entire Medical Complex. In the event sufficient manpower is not available within the shop to respond to a situation, requests for additional support will be referred to the Director, Plant Operations for consideration. 6. Provides assistance to the HVAC Shop and Plumbing Shop , when required, to insure sufficient manpower is available to complete necessary operations. 7. Utilizes hospital network computer to assign and track work assignments. 8. Schedules preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs and monitors these activities on a daily basis to insure monthly compliance with established annual goals 9. Monitors maintenance responsibilities associated with vendors to insure compliance with contracts. 10. Annually reviews the elements of the Preventive Maintenance program and makes adjustments based on changing conditions and equipment. 11. Receives and reviews all invoices associated with the Boiler Room as well as Service Reports from service companies and follows up on apparent discrepancies. 12. Insures an appropriate amount of repair parts and general supplies are maintained. 13. Places orders for repair parts, general supplies, replacement equipment, etc. 14. Monitors all fuel consumption and assures an appropriate amount of fuel oil is always available for boilers and generators. 15. Knowledgeable of requirements for service contracts and participates in process for renewal of existing or establishment of new contracts. 16. Monitors and assures maintenance of documentation of systems and equipment to insure compliance with all regulatory agencies including but not limited to, boilers, chillers, fuel tanks, generators, etc. 17. Annually and on an ongoing basis, evaluates performance of Stationary Engineers and provides guidance and counseling to aid in performance improvement. As appropriate and when required takes necessary disciplinary action up to and including recommendation for termination, in accordance with hospital policies. 18. Participates in the hiring/transfer process through review and evaluation of applications and the interview process and makes recommendations on appropriate candidate. 19. Participates in the review of internal projects and recommends appropriate shop involvement. 20. Assesses the need for use of overtime and seeks approval as needed. Review effects of overtime usage against established benchmarking target. 21. Financial Responsibility a. Annually assists in the development of a Section Operational Budget that provides sufficient financial and personnel resources to maintain the facility in an appropriate manner. Presents the budget to the Plant Engineer for inclusion in the overall Department Operational Budget. b. Annually assists in the development of a Section Capital Budget that provides for replacement and updating of worn and outdated facility components and the addition of new components that are required to stay current with industry standards. Present the Section budget to the Plant Engineer for inclusion in the overall Department Capital Budget c.Controls and monitors section expenditures through monthly reviews of Financial Responsibility Report. d. Routinely monitors and reviews overall scheduling in section and insures that payroll records are current, accurate and approved within established guidelin3w. 22. Schedules and assigns staff to insure appropriate coverage across all shifts, including weekend, holiday, vacation and sick-time coverage in accordance with hospital and departmental policies. 23. Routinely monitors attendance of personnel to insure compliance with hospital policies. 24. Maintains job competency by attending educational and informational training seminars and sessions relative to Boiler Room Systems and equipment or other subjects appropriate to the job being held. 25. Identifies training needs for staff and provides for training, either through in-house or external means, to address these needs. At a minimum consideration must be given to insure that in-services are provided for all new equipment and systems that are installed and that appropriate education is provided for new staff members so they are current on all equipment. 26. Interacts with other hospital department managers and assists and coordinates activities with other on all matters that affect their areas D. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintains library of reference material applicable to the hospital systems and equipment that the stationary engineers are responsible for operating and maintaining. 2. Maintains familiarity with appropriate codes and standards 3. When necessary, performs duties of Stationary Engineer 4. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. High School diploma or Vocational School graduate. 2. Minimum 5 ¿ 7 years Power Plant operation including plumbing, steam fitting, chillers and boilers. 3. 3 ¿ 5 years of supervisory experience in a large institutional facility. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. Red Seal Operating Engineer License. 2. Universal Refrigeration License.
