Systems And Network Administrator

Job Summary:

Maintain and optimize our cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient operations specifying systems requirements, and designing solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• System and Network Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, test, and maintain software, hardware, servers, networks, operating systems, and application software.

• Performance Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and manage system and network performance to ensure efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system availability.

• Security Management: Ensure IT infrastructure security through access controls, backups, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

• Server and Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain network servers, technology tools, and IT infrastructure, including all systems within the Azure cloud environment.

• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Troubleshoot network issues, outages, and perform diagnosis and repair of network-related problems, including maintaining LAN/WAN, VoIP systems, video systems, and other computing equipment.

• System Upgrades: Upgrade systems with new releases and models; continuously update systems following recent technology releases.

• Documentation and Training: Develop technical expertise, train IT staff in recent technologies, and build and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.

• Backup Management: Create and manage backup systems to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.

• Professional Collaboration and Support: Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and provide 2nd and 3rd level support.

• Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring efficient and appropriate interactions.

• System Design and Planning: Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in network and system administration.

• Experience with Azure AD/Entra, security system management, wireless systems, backup management, staff training and mentoring, VPN, IDS/IPS, network analysis, Active Directory, and Office 365 tools.

• Experience with SolarWinds, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Watchguard.

• Project Management experience

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, Entra/Azure AD environment

• Industry certifications such as Azure, MCSE, CompTIA are a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Proven experience in a network and system administrator role

• Experience in networking, routing, and switching.

• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure and cloud environments

• Excellent organization, prioritizing, and multitasking skills.
