Torch Technologies is seeking a candidate to perform systems analysis of US Army Air and Missile Defense Systems.

Analysis will include all aspects of Air and Missile Defense including surveillance and fire control sensors, target tracking and extrapolation algorithms, fire control algorithms, and battle management algorithms. Analysis will require significant expertise in all or some of the following: advanced data mining, analytics, data structures, data storage, data warehousing, statistical analysis, data querying & interpolation, database, serialization, analyzing complex data set, working with unstructured data sets. Software development activities include: the creation, maintenance, and debugging of analysis tools for aiding in the visualization, interpretation, and presentation of simulation results. It is essential the candidate be a team player capable of integrating with a collaborative multi-contractor/government work environment as well as be able to perform independently on assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or other STEM degree from an ABET accredited school.

  • 7-15 years of industry experience. A master's degree can be substituted for 2 years of experience.

  • Experience developing data analysis and visualization tools suitable for analyzing system and subsystem performance of missile defense systems

  • Significant experience with some are all of the following:

  • Interceptor missile technologies including IR and RF seeker designs and signal processing,

  • Guidance and control algorithms, navigation technologies, aerodynamics, mass properties, rocket motor technology, and control system technologies.

  • Skilled in object oriented design and programing (C++ or Python is preferred)

  • Experience with Linux environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Candidate must have ability to present extremely complex issues in ways that are understandable by industry and government management.

  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a multi-contractor/government seamless environment.

  • Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Proficiency with source code management tools (GIT).

  • Understanding of Agile software development processes.

  • Proficiency with Atlassian products is desired: JIRA, Confluence.

  • No travel is anticipated with this position.
