Role Title

Supply Chain Professional


UST Global is looking for a Supply chain professional who can keep track of logistics and update the company's inventory. They should analyze operational performance and resolve issues. Also collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping; delivery) meet quality and safety standards.


This position is responsible for researching; quoting; and purchasing of all indirect maintenance; repair; and operational materials.

They are also responsible for researching alternative items when requested item is not available. This position will also be

responsible for sending materials back for credit; exchange; or repairs - as the situation dictates


  • Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.

  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy; resource optimization; profitability maximization; and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.

  • Plans; manages; and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.

  • Works with plant; warehouse; and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.

  • Works directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.

  • Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.

  • Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).

  • Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.

  • Supports proper utilization of ERP system.

  • Member of the operations staff; responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.

  • Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP MM; AP Modules; SAP Plant Maintenance; etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support development of Silfex capacity analysis, including conducting capacity reviews. * Analyze short and long term capacity and develop comprehensive analysis of issues and solutions. * Expand the capacity tool solutions to support business needs, including executing scenario planning. * Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain to identify and execute capacity expansion projects * Support the creation of standard work, processes, and tools related to Sales and Operations Planning. * Support the implementation and develop of inventory strategies and plans per company goals and objectives. * Oversee work in process inventory and analyze performance to predetermined targets. * Communicate with key functional groups the changes in demand and its impact on capacity. * Engage in the development of demand planning tool for forecasting activities. * Based on data received from Demand, ensure that multiple statistical view of Demand and trending analysis are completed and incorporate product tends into forecast models and monthly forecast updates. * Consolidate data into a recommended demand plan at the aggregate level by market and channel and at the part level (units and dollars) by product line or value stream. * Develop product mix forecasts as input for supply planning based on the aggregate demand plan. * Identify actions required to keep demand supply as synchronized as possible to achieve customer service and financial objectives; in addition, participates in the development and evaluation of what-if simulations as a tool to resolve demand/supply imbalances, as required. * Provide expertise for complex statistical modeling analysis. * Performs all related tasks in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions to Silfex management. * Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate. * Applies Lean manufacturing concepts, including 5S. * Perform other duties as assigned by department management. * Must possess the ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization (written and verbal). * Must be highly motivated and have a desire to innovate and create new way of looking at things. * Expertise in Excel, MS Access, and PowerPoint. * Must work effectively with personnel at various levels within the organization, from a broad range of backgrounds. * Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, customers, and the general public. * Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. * Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
