GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering technology capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be configured or coded. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Works collaboratively with clinical and business owners to provide IT solutions that meet the needs of the areas involved. Provides mentoring, guidance and training to less experienced analysts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases, workflows, and evaluation of software solutions.

  • Maintain an understanding of the department tools and technologies available to plan work at a detailed level and meet scheduled timelines.

  • Mentor and direct the work of IT Analysts and Systems Analysts including adherence to standards and quality assurance review, breaking down complex configuration and/or programming assignments into detailed specifications and providing expert-level assistance in trouble-shooting application configuration/programming issues.

  • Use expert knowledge of technologies and business processes to provide in depth analysis of application/system and develop solutions to meet business/customer requirements, compare and evaluate options and recommend a course of action.

  • Write detailed description of users' business needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify systems with minimal guidance.

  • Analyze, design, build, code/configure, test, debug, and document all activities to support implementing and maintaining application systems with minimal direction.

  • Assist in testing all aspects of a solution including correct results, integration, data and system integrity.

  • Recognize and advise leadership of concerns and/or issues and provide appropriate follow up to identified issues.

  • Create and maintain technical application documentation including test plans, application architecture diagrams, data flows, use cases and workflows.

  • Participate in training the end users, providing 24 x 7 customer support and assisting colleagues.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours end user support.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • 5+ years of systems analysis experience or work experience in a similar information technology role; strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology preferred.

As a Business Systems Analyst within the Worldwide Services & Support Analytics team, you will work as part of a team that supports and enhances NetApp's world-wide business processes and systems. You will be responsible for the delivery of meaningful reporting, data and dashboards for the WWS&S leadership team and staff. You will partner with Business Process Leads and IT in driving the functional roadmap, architecture, design and testing of all deliverables related to reporting, metrics, and dashboards. You will lead and take functional and technical ownership of the deliverables and partner with the Process and Technical teams on requirements, design, development, testing and deployment of capabilities to production. Job Description * Collaborate with business users to define processes that meet business needs. * Help drive simplification of reporting and analytics within the WWS&S community. * Anticipate the needs of stakeholders affected by process change. * Develop and define requirements to support process and system changes. * Create functional design documents for conversions, interfaces, and reports. * Provide ad hoc reporting, data and analytics needs to WWS&S leadership. * Hands on with Tableau Desktop (dashboard creation and troubleshooting, Visualizations, in built features, creating custom calculated fields etc.). * Ability to suggest data structures required to make visualizations in Tableau * Create interactive filters, parameters, and calculations (Date Functions, String Functions, LOD's, Table Calculations) for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau. * Hands on working with multiple data sources to create report in tableau. * Conduct and participate in dashboard demos and discussions within the team as well as with other groups across WWS&S org. * Monitor created and published dashboards to ensure high performance. * Develop implementation and project plans. * Monitor and drive resolution of issues. * Document and communicate status updates to Management * Work with staff to VP level employees within the role's functions and across functions Job Requirements * Perform Requirement Gathering/Analysis, System analysis, Design & Data Modeling, Development of Tableau dashboards, Testing, and Performance tuning * Demonstrated Business writing skills in developing Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Specifications Document (FSD), Workflows and Project Plan. * Excellent organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities. * Expertise in creating Reports, Dashboards and Scorecards using OBIEE 11g, Tableau, Power BI, MS SQL Server, and Excel Power Pivots * Excellent oral and written communication skills; including process documentation. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills. * Ability to work under limited supervision and direction Education Typically requires a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in IT, Engineering, or relevant field, and a minimum of 8-12 years of applicable experience in business systems analysis and project management; or Master's degree with 5-8 years; or equivalent combination of education/training/certifications and years of relevant professional experience Did you know… Statistics show women apply to jobs only when they're 100% qualified.
