General Summary: This position is responsible for the build and support of the Regulatory & Quality Core Strategy initiative. Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop, configure or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which systems can be configured or coded. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis activities but requires instruction and guidance in other phases. Works collaboratively with clinical and business owners to provide IT solutions that meet the needs of the areas involved.

Essential Duties:

  • Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases, workflows, and evaluation of software solutions

  • Assist users to identify current operating procedures and clarify business objectives

  • Apply application/system knowledge to work with customers to develop requirements to create technology solutions to meet the business needs

  • Perform in depth analysis of application/system and develop solutions to meet business/customer requirements, compare and evaluate options and recommend a course of action

  • Assist in writing detailed description of users' business needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify systems under general guidance

  • Analyze, design, build, code/configure, test, debug, and document all activities to support implementing and maintaining application systems under general direction

  • Assist in testing all aspects of a solution including correct results, integration, data and system integrity

  • Assure quality of work by coordinating review prior to implementation with appropriate written Documentation

  • Recognize and advise leadership of concerns and/or issues, and provide appropriate follow up to identified issues

  • Create and maintain technical application documentation including test plans, application architecture diagrams, data flows, use cases and workflows

  • Participate in training the end users, providing 24 x 7 customer support and assisting colleagues

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours end user support

Standard Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • 2-5 years of systems analysis experience or work experience in a similar information technology role; strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology preferred

Other Qualifications:

  • Business side knowledge related to Federal and State Quality & Payor Programs (MIPS/MU/MSSP/PCF) as well as the technical expertise related to the IT components to support the build

  • Ability to successfully communicate technical information to non-technical audience

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service

  • Expert level knowledge of technologies used in this position

  • Strong understanding of business processes

Job Posting Title Business Systems Analyst - Plex Job Description Summary Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Incumbents function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise. Job Description * Implement consistent use of the Plex system for assigned modules at MFBU level and all plants. Ensure that the Plex system is capable with all applicable MFBU / AAM business practices and satisfies all Sarbanes Oxley requirements - including new deployments * Support and develop the skills and abilities of all MFBU / AAM associates using Plex, as needed, at each plant, in cooperation with plant management associates * Develop, document, improve, and audit business processes within each assigned Plex module working with plant and MFBU / AAM corporate associates as needed. * Use analytical tools and data found in Plex to create procedures, reports, and documentation to support the needs of each plant with assigned modules. * Participate in improving the use of Plex with the AAM shared services team (i.e. accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, purchasing systems, sales) * Regularly visit each MFBU facility to audit use of Plex system, improve stability metrics, and Plex system goals and objectives.
