NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Systems Analyst to join our team in Durham, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
The Systems Analyst will be engaged in the full SDLC software development including systems requirements analysis, design, development and testing of a suite of Web Applications developed in Java\J2EE.
The Analyst must be able to communicate requirements both to business and to system people.
They will understand the requirements and oversee the defect verification and triage and work closely with the QA Team.
The Systems Analyst needs experience with both AGILE and waterfall system development, with the capability to learn and perform SA roles and processes.
This will include system artifacts, primarily System Design Specifications (SDS), User Stories, test plans, transition/handoff documents, and user manuals.
The SA will participate in the business requirements gathering process and provide guidance on system current state.
The role requires flexibility to adapt, as there are integration points with other teams/projects at different phases in the system development lifecycle.
Specific activities also include participating in daily scrums, reviewing artifacts across the entire program, and managing system scope.
Analysis and reviews will be performed in accordance with defined client and industry standards - analyzing results, formulating recommendations, determining and maintaining appropriate metrics, and preparing formal reports.
The scope of activities will be quite broad and will include the entire program lifecycle. The Analyst will also be responsible for administration/logistics associated with system requirements meetings, including developing agendas, presentations, and capturing meeting minutes.
Experience in enterprise Content Management Systems and pension systems are desirable.
Also, a strong understanding of Service Orientated Architecture is needed.
Preference will be given to candidate with a background in Web Application Development, in particular Java J2EE.
Exceptional communication skills (written and oral), and a broad range of IT knowledge/experience are required.
Communicate system requirements to developers, program staff and stakeholders;
Work with the QA team to develop test scenarios, scripts and data and evaluate test results;
Track and fully document changes for functional specifications; write detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
Participate in unit testing of new system functionality.
Use defined templates and standards in order to document system design.
Review and provide guidance on defects uncovered during testing
Ensure that deliverables are verified and validated in accordance with corporate standards
