Job Summary

We are looking for a Systems Analyst III with experience in technically supporting information systems to join the established team of Systems Analysts in the Cardiac Center IS team (CCIS) to help serve the Cardiac Center. The hire will be responsible for multiple systems within the Cardiac Center. The Systems Analyst III will support individual systems as well as cross systems integration while working closely within the CCIS Team and within the broader IS organizations and best practices.

This role will be primary technical owner for some systems and shared owner for others. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to understand and support complex end user workflows and help ensure systems support of those workflows.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of effectively working with systems vendors and in-house teams to provide operational support. This candidate will also show strong project oriented skills to help lead systems upgrades and replacements, working effectively across many groups, technical and non-technical, both in-house and external to CHOP.

The Systems Analyst III must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the needs of multiple teams, systems and products. Job Responsibilities
1.Performs operational support, maintenance and system configuration as defined in departmental operating procedures.
2.Identifies, analyzes and resolves data and system issues of advanced complexity.
3.Works independently and leads small teams in support of team initiatives and projects.
4.Gathers requirements, develops specifications prepares and reviews documentation.
5.Develops, validates and executes comprehensive test plans.
6.Performs 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis.
7.Communicates effectively, negotiates changes, and assists in prioritization of tasks with clients, vendors and colleagues.
8.May be considered the Subject Matter Expert in their area of application or domain.
9.Educates and coaches other team members.
10. May be required to travel to/from and work in the various CHOP locations, including patient care areas.
11. Will work in clinical areas while supporting Cardiac Center systems, which designates this role as a "Health Care Worker", requiring specific and periodic screening.
12. May be required to represent I.S. and/or present to various Hospital Clinical and/or Operations committees.
13. Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards.
14. Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information.
15. Support all applicable compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information.

Required Education and Experience

  • Certifications commensurate with job role

Required Education: Bachelors of/in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other Health Care related field

Required Experience: Relevant experience (2-5 years) within a healthcare environment. Relevant Information Systems analyst experience (3-5 years)

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Mentoring and teaching of staff

  • Familiarity with electronic health record is a plus

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office products is a plus
