Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Systems Analyst II to join our high-performing Engineering Applications & Services (EA&S) Team in Lynnwood, WA.

Job Summary:

As a Systems Analyst II on the EA&S Team you will work closely with IT, Engineering & Manufacturing as the Lead Systems Analyst and Solutions Architect responsible for developing and maintaining technical knowledge, skills, and standard processes to support the Engineering Applications and Engineering Workflows that implement Crane Standard Processes.

The EA&S Team is responsible for administration and support of Enterprise Tools for Crane Aerospace standard Product Development (PDP), New Product Introduction (NPI), Configuration Management (CM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Document Control processes for all Crane Aerospace Value Streams and the Offshore Development Centers (ODC).

The EA&S Team ensures usage of common methodologies, compliance to certification and government regulations implemented in tools & processes throughout Crane Aerospace as appropriate. The Systems Analyst is accountable for design of standard product design processes, data migration and workflows in Crane Aerospace's PLM System (Teamcenter). This position must be involved in analyzing business processes and matching them with appropriate technology solutions for automation and for improving process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency and knowledge of SIEMENS PLM Teamcenter Unified Architecture Active Workspace Client (AWC), 4-Tier and 2-Tier architecture, workflows, Configuration Management, extensive business process and functional knowledge of engineering and planning processes, understanding of COTS implementations and application development.

  • Strong experience in PLM and Teamcenter development environments, Teamcenter Installation and BMIDE (SIEMENS Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment) Administration and customization preferred.

  • Knowledge of Teamcenter Life Cycle Management / Workflow design, develop and implementation processes.

  • In depth understanding of SIEMENS Toolset & utilities, including Teamcenter Unified and CAD integrations SolidWorks (SWIM), AutoDesk Inventor, Solid Edge, NX, standard parts library, export/import data using PLMXML. Experience in migration and incorporation of Standards Parts into Teamcenter a plus.

  • Knowldege of Teamcenter Manufacturing implementation a plus.

  • Basic problem solving skills Application issues, root cause analysis, configuration, ability to handle Teamcenter and CAD integration with SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, Solid Edge and/or NX, NX CAM etc.

  • ERP/MRP integrations like Oracle Manufacturing, T4O (Teamcenter for Oracle), T4S (Teamcenter for SAP) from TESIS, MES systems a plus.

  • Experience and knowledge in best practices and Aerospace standards for Interfacing MCAD/ECAD, CAM applications and processes. Experience with Dassault Systems SolidWorks, SIEMENS NX, Autodesk Inventor, PTC Creo and CAD data migration, migration utilities, data extraction, scripting, custom utility is considered a plus.

  • Experience with the following: J2EE,.Net, Java, ITK Server side coding experience with C & C++, ITK scripting, XML, JavaScript and HTML (For Web Client Coding ), J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition); XML; JSP (JavaServer Page), App development, RDBMS

  • Proficient in AWC, Thin Client customization, Rich Client customization is a plus.

  • Responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and integration of new and enhanced functionality within the Teamcenter environment using Eclipse IDE. Analysts need to be proficient in Windows programming environments

  • Proficiency with core modules including Structure Manager, Workflow, Access Manager, Workflow Designer and BMIDE.

  • Strong Teamcenter Customization skills. Proficiency with Teamcenter Unified API customizations - ITK, Extensions, User Exits, Workflow Handlers etc.

  • SOA expertise (including governance) to assist with Gateway partner implementations, SOA service customization experience.

  • Expertise in Teamcenter BMIDE template consolidation, BMIDE Packaging & Deployment Hot & Cold deployment, TEM deployment, BMIDE codeful and codeless customizations, understanding of BMIDE Naming/Revision rules, Deep copy rules, Action rules etc., expertise in Teamcenter BMIDE template development & maintaining template and code management in IBM RTC (Rational Tool Concert), Eclipse IDE Framework with Java.

  • Strong experience in the full life cycle of the development process, including requirements definition, prototyping, programming, testing and implementation.

  • Teamcenter migration experience (Teamcenter Enterprise to Teamcenter Unified preferred). Teamcenter Unified Data Model definition and development to facilitate migration from Teamcenter Enterprise a plus.

  • Support the Manager, Engineering Applications & Services, CM & Infrastructure in the development and communication of strategies and Solution plans throughout the organization.

  • Gather and manage Enterprise requirements and map to TeamOne & SharePoint implemented solutions in Production providing data mapping, workflow development, interface design, performance tuning and testing.

  • Communicate with management, prepare workshops and proposals for Solutions teams, maintain a Tools roadmap for the Enterprise

  • Based on industry needs, insures activities are performed in accordance with industry and company standards, including all necessary design and verification documentation as required by Solutions teams and process standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Five years experience in technical environment including high-level document and configuration management tools.

Knowledge:

  • Experience and knowledge in best practice design, implementation, and support of PLM, SharePoint.

Skills:

  • Gather, manage, and roadmap enterprise requirements and their implementation for Product Development in an Aerospace environment and map to PLM systems, its interfaces, and SharePoint as needed.

  • Design, Develop, Data Migrate and Deploy PLM, SharePoint and SQL Server solutions for data management and workflows.

  • Thorough knowledge of run time support and configuration of PLM, SharePoint and 3rd party tools.

  • Proven leadership ability, including demonstrated ability to consult leadership and with other systems analysts, customers and administrators.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with a focus on design and solutions architecture and development.

Employment Eligibility Requirement:

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to Teamcenter Installation and Configuration. Client installation & configuration, and network connectivity validation.

  • Basic DB (SQL) knowledge, network knowledge.

  • User Support Application usage and application administration.

  • SQL expertise, queries and an understanding of how Teamcenter uses the Microsoft SQL database.

  • Experience installing and deploying web application and web application servers.

  • Experience with Configuration and Document Management processes, including insuring Group-wide standards established and adhered to with respect to TeamOne, SharePoint and SQL Server.

  • Knowledge of middle-tier systems configuration and deployment (JBoss, EJB) Programming Languages (Java, JavaScripting, C/C++, DXL).

  • Translation of customer specs to code Scripting (Shell, Perl, PHP, Batch, etc) to support batch processing and wrappers for developed code.

  • Database (SQL, MSSQL, PL/SQL) experience to support and debug code that accesses back end databases, SharePoint development. Applications (Synergy/DOORS/Change/Teamcenter). Knowledge as needed to facilitate enhancements and bug fixes.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats

  • Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends on occasion as needed

  • Requires lifting 25 lbs

  • Requires approximately 15% travel to support customers

Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer II performs independent assignments to develop and recommend improvements in the Manufacturing system and in product manufacturability and cost effectiveness. Responsibilities * Serve as a wire bond subject matter expert to support cell personnel and equipment while developing programs for automated bonders. * Study, analyze and design methods, procedures, processes, layouts, flow, fixtures and tooling as needed to support production * Investigate, recommend, and implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement programs * Identify root cause and corrective actions for manufacturing problems * Participate in customer specification and statement of work reviews * Participate in the review and evaluation of new product designs or design changes * Review and analyze design change requests initiated by manufacturing personnel to determine feasibility, validity, savings, effect on design, and to verify justification for change * Evaluate, test and select facilities, equipment and materials required for production in conjunction with Production Supervisors, Purchasing and other groups * Perform a variety of cost analyses, e.g., cost estimates for quotations or "make or buy" decisions * Develop manufacturing operating instructions * Develop and track manufacturing metrics to monitor the health of processes * Evaluate non-conformances as part of the Material Review Board * Direct work activities of production operators to aid in problem solving * Develop procedures and train assemblers and operators in machine operations, processes or assembly applications * Coordinate with vendors and customers * Identify and prioritize work with limited input from manager * Develop ROI or business case and present to management in the support of capital equipment, new product or process development and productivity improvements * Any other task assigned by supervisor or management Minimum Requirements Education/Certification: * BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field Experience: * Two or more years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer * Experience with wire bonding.
