Systems Analyst I - Perioperative Services, FT Days (4398-029)

Serves as computer expert for Perioperative Services. Develops, implements information systems support, data analysis and maintains systems for Perioperative Services to include, but not limited to O.R. Scheduling System, clinical nursing documentation systems and charge capture systems. Primary point of contact and coordinator for systems needs and process for internal and external resources. Functions as project leader and coordinator for identification and implementation of new systems to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the Perioperative Services area.

Required Skills

• Extensive PC (IBM and compatible) knowledge.

• Highly effective oral and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of organizational relationships involved in coordinating and consulting.

• Knowledge of hardware and software requirements in a healthcare environment and ability to translate administrative needs into appropriate support systems.

• Knowledge of principles of system and statistical analysis.

• Proficiency in creative problem solving.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.

• Has knowledge of hospital systems and organizational relationships.

• Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Required Experience

Work Experience:

• One year information systems experience with an emphasis in user relations and in system analysis, implementation, and evaluation is required.

Education and Training:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Management, or related field required.
