Job Description: / Duties

  • Provides second-tier support to end users for either desktop computers, laptops, associated peripherals, multi-function devices and software.

  • Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.

  • Applicant will work with government POC to support IT equipment custodian needs.

  • Will perform Cybersecurity Liaison and Unit Software License Manager duties for the organization.

  • Help with maintenance and administration of SharePoint and Portal sites.

  • May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify problems.

Qualifications / Specific Requirements

  • Four (4) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two (2) years in technically related areas.

  • A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university.

  • Must have active CompTIA Security+ CE.

  • Must have a Secret clearance.

Additional Desired Requirements

  • Experience working in an Air Force environment.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following: * Focus on ensuring cyber security and resiliency is incorporated in the weapons systems design process via the Systems Engineering (SE) process. * Support development of SSE artifacts and acquisition templates for inclusion in SE processes. * Assist in the development of a requirements construct to help USAF programs interpret and scope system security, acquisition security, and cybersecurity and resilience requirements. * Leverage NIST security controls, FAA direction, and other inputs to inform system security requirements. * Perform technical analyses, conduct research, and use technical management principles to assess impacts to DoD and USAF systems engineering and acquisition policies and processes; and provide recommendations for improvement. * The candidate selected should be experienced and successful at solving complex system integration and engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers. * Work location is at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH and sit within AFLCMC/EZS CROWS LOA2 office. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: * ABachelor's degreeandfifteen (15) years of experience is required. Knowledge, SkillsandAbilities: * Candidate should have a foundational understanding of DoD weapon system acquisition and system Life Cycle Systems Engineering processes. * Position requires technical background in development of weapons system/platform avionics and/or software. * Position requires some experience or familiarity of systems security engineering in one or more security specialty areas, such as Cybersecurity, Cyber Resilience, Anti-Tamper protection, Supply Chain Risk Management, Software Assurance, and Hardware Assurance.
