MTSI is seeking a Systems Administrator and Cloud Architect in Albuquerque, NM, or Colorado Springs, CO, to support our Air Force Research Laboratory customer at Kirtland Air Force Base.

  • Linux Systems Administrator with experience in designing, and building Cloud Solutions and Virtual Clusters.

  • Cloud Architect with expertise in the Automation using Jenkins, Ansible, OpenShift or other DevOps tools.

  • Experience developing a Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline

  • Experience in the configuration, and administration of domain policies and security across a multi-OS, multi-platform environment

  • Administering Enterprise Endpoint Protection/Antivirus systems

  • Administering Dell K1000 and K2000 devices, to include systems management, patching, scripted OS and software deployments, hardware/software inventory, printer management, etc

  • Assist in the management of software licensing, including performing inventories, working with vendors, doing asset reports, performing audits, and generally maintaining compliance

  • You must be able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, including coworkers and teammates as well as data suppliers, and meet required schedules and timelines.

  • You must have outstanding skills in communicating complex technical issues and in providing comprehensive written, oral and/or digital products (including document organization and technical writing).

  • Working with the IT Manager to implement all security controls, standards, and policies across the Enterprise

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with implementing and deploying applications and services in the Intelligence Community's (IC) Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment.

  • RedHat OpenShift

  • RedHat Ansible

  • Experience with Micro-Services architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift).

  • System management automation technologies (Kubernetes, Puppet).

  • Researching and testing new software technologies

  • Familiarity with NISPOM/DCID or other Government standards

  • Monitoring IS Security resources such as US-CERT and NIST to detect emerging threats and providing proactive measures to ensure adequate protection

  • Assist with VMware vSphere 6 infrastructure administration




  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology with a heavy emphasis on Linux systems administration, automation and cloud architecture

  • Security+

  • Linux+ CompTIA (desired)

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (desired)

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (desired)

The primary responsibility is to provide Windows Systems Administration support for the enterprise server systems.
