Withum is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Internal Technology department. Reporting to the Senior Systems Manager, the Systems Administrator is globally responsible for the day‐to‐day operations and maintenance of one or more enterprise technology system essential to Withum's Core business functions. The Systems Administrator acts as technical resource to management and staff assisting in the operational support of the current computing environment and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the Firm's overall strategic plan and its commitment to its staff, its clients, and its communities.

The Systems Administrator can be based out of any of the following office locations (Princeton, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Whippany, NJ; East Brunswick, NJ; Saddle Brook, NJ). This will be an onsite position.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

  • Ensuring the efficient operations of integrated components within the environment such as servers, routers, firewalls, switches, virtual machine hosts, etc.

  • Maintaining network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor

  • Maintaining existing documentation of procedures, operations, and network topology.

  • Ensuring the efficient operation of current storage hardware devices through the Firm's environment

  • Administering the Veeam/Dato backup solution certifying the success of both data backup and data recovery operations

  • Assisting in the development of short- and long-term storage strategies leveraging emerging technologies to continually improve overall efficiency of data management

  • Participating in the ongoing development of and validation of the Firm's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan as a member of BC‐DR Committee

  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of IT related policies and procedures throughout the Firm

  • Building, maintaining and serving as Subject matter expert on VDI and WVD

  • Performing scheduled policy-based audit and test on network to ensure compliance

  • Maintaining existing documentation of procedures, operations and network topology

  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of IT related policies and procedures throughout the Firm

  • Serving as onsite representative of the IT team monitoring and implementing existing and new technologies in assigned office

  • Appropriately prioritizing both IT projects and day‐to‐day operations

  • Understanding business needs, educate staff on technology and how to use it as a strategic asset

  • Staying up to date with key technology development/issues within the technology and accounting industry

  • Must be able to travel internally as well as throughout the continental US

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or computer related field preferred. Equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable

  • Ideal candidate has current VMware, MCSE and Azure certifications

  • Advance understanding of Cloud technology (Azure/AWS)

  • Experience with physical servers and racking devices

  • Understanding of Hybrid Infrastructure and MDM solutions

  • Minimum of 5 years on‐hands systems and/or networking support in a Windows‐based computing environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Resourceful and innovative problem-solving abilities with a security first approach

  • CMMC background

  • Ability to effectively communicate solution and resolution information to end users

  • Passion for technology and interest in exploring new technologies

  • Willingness to travel to remote offices and industry events as needed
