VulcanForms seeks a Systems Administrator for our Newburyport, MA location.
Job Purpose
As the Systems Administrator at VulcanForms, Newburyport, MA, you will be responsible for the installation, management, security, and maintenance of our software, hardware, and network systems of our office. Periodic visits may be required to our parent company, VulcanForms Inc., in Devens, MA. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with various interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Accountabilities
Manage helpdesk and support services and respond to escalated help desk issues
Lead IT-related efforts for implementation of compliance, quality, and resource planning systems
Responsible for analysis, selection, and modification of enterprise systems, application software,
Ensure IT infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility
Leverage Best Practices to drive continuous improvement to the IT systems
Perform internal audit programs, continuous security/penetration testing, and drive non-conformance issues to conclusion
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of work experience as a Microsoft Server Systems Administrator
Experience supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems configuration and management
Experience with Microsoft365
Experience with networking and networking protocols
Preferred
Extensive experience with Windows 10/11; Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012
Experience with Linux - RedHat, CentOS & Ubuntu
Knowledge of client/server environments, Group Policies, Domain Services, Networking, and realm
Experience with hyperconverged infrastructures (Nutanix), Private Cloud, & Public Clouds (AWS & Azure)
Experience with NAS technologies: configuration, permissions, protocols, sync, and backup
Experience with configuration and implementation of VoIP technologies
Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework, other computer security publications, and implementing system security controls following DFARS 252.204-7012 and or NIST SP 800-171 cyber security compliance standards
Experience with configuring layer 2/3 network switches, DNS, VPN, and Palo Alto firewalls
Experience with Wi-Fi technologies, security, and configuration
Proven track record in from the ground-up IT Infrastructure specification, implementation, administration, and maintenance
Experience managing costs and budget preparation, including software and hardware maintenance, supplies inventory, vendor relationship, and licensing
Experience working with manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and medical devices industries
Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects at multiple sites simultaneously
Strong sense of ownership
Team player with excellent documentation and communication skills
Excited about taking on new challenges in the metal additive manufacturing industry and working in a fast-paced startup environment
Self-motivated, hands-on, practical mindset, and capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals
