Our offices are based in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, but we are pleased to note that our Chicago office is operating on a hybrid work model (mix of in-office and remote work).

Position Summary:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for configuring, deploying, documenting, and supporting end-user technologies such as computer workstations, iOS devices, Windows application servers, camera/DVR systems and office hardware as part of the IT Infrastructure Team. This role will setup, install, and support proprietary technology developed by The Parking Spot including revenue control systems and other operational technologies.  As a Systems Administrator, you will provide strict attention to detail to ensure all steps are followed and work through complications to help improve the process.  Successful candidates should clearly communicate project status and technical solutions in a customer-friendly and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class technical support to end users on a wide variety of issues & platforms/systems including Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, web browsing, and all other end user applications.

  • Support existing installations of revenue control hardware, software, and LAN network as well as all end-user technologies.

  • Provide support for conferencing systems and VoIP telephone systems and applications.

  • Develop & maintain policies, procedures, and documentation for employees and other IT staff.

  • Interface with end-users at all levels as well as vendors and 3rd party support.

  • Manage PC configurations, remote management, policy assignment and security updates.

  • Develop new systems, processes and features relating to end-user technology.

  • Maintain and develop documentation, FAQ's, etc.

  • Perform revenue control software and hardware updates at TPS facilities.

  • Manage setup, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of iOS devices (iPhones, iPads, iPods).

  • Manage delivery, set up, and configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

  • Be a part of the on-call 24/7 support team.

  • 20 - 30% travel is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong attention to detail & excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and strong problem analysis and resolution skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience managing a helpdesk ticketing system (SysAid preferred).

  • Experience with Active Directory administration.

  • Experience with mobile device administration and VoIP administration.

  • Experience supporting an environment with remote assistance.

  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Active Directory, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server 2016/2019, Virtualization, MS System Center (SCCM, SCOM & VMM), iOS devices management, SQL Server, and other applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science-related concentration preferred; commensurate work experience may be a substitute.
