Systems Administrator

Responsibilities & QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIES* The Systems Administrator is expected to be able to: * Configure and support virtual environments including AWS and VMware. * Maintain various operating systems in a variety of users and activities. * Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards. * Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks. * Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

Minimum five (5) years of experience as a System Integrator or Administrator. * Minimum of bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in IT, Cybersecurity, or related discipline. * Active TS/SCI + CI Polygraph * Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), and/or STIGs/IAVA (desired).* A problem solver who can be given a project and use engineering skills to determine a solution. * Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux, networking, and more. * Able to build systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering. * Any applicable certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner, and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 2012/2016OverviewWe are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team supporting our NGA customer in Springfield, VA.TekSynap is a fast growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive well planned information management environment.
