As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining servers and workstations supporting mission-critical computing environments. You will develop processes and procedures for verifying system integrity, configuration management and automated deployment of systems and services. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Implement, upgrade, diagnose, and support workstation and server hardware, as well as COTS and custom-built software for a multi-user environment.
Work closely with engineers and operators from multiple disciplines to understand and meet hardware, software, and configuration needs
Write consistent, clear, concise documentation on how to perform, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues while utilizing industry best practices.
Help define, enforce, and maintain processes for configuration control of mission- and safety-critical systems while incorporating requirements from IT Networking and IT Security.
Provide precise, quick, seamless IT Help Desk service in a high-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Complete expertise in Microsoft Windows client and server Operating Systems
3+ years experience in a technical support or systems administration role
Expertise with Microsoft Office
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Expertise with Linux (Ubuntu and CentOS client and server)
Proficient skill with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
Knowledge of Red Hat Ansible, Gitlab, or other Continuous Improvement / Continuous Deployment automation pipelines to consistently provide a known good configuration for various types of computing environments for each user
Installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of workstations and servers, computer peripherals, video conference systems (Skype for Business and Lifesize), and other AV solutions
The ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays if required
Hands-on experience with IP networking, LDAP, and Active Directory
Ability to be a life-long learner, have a team-oriented, continuous improvement mindset, and demonstrate a consistent customer-centric attitude
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee, or granted asylum
