The Business Infrastructure (BI) Organization within RTX BBN Technologies is seeking a full-time is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to support the computing infrastructure needs of our Middletown, RI office.

What You Will Do

Server/workstation organization and maintenance, software maintenance, network support, inventory and government property tracking

Secure lab responsibilities such as, the architecture, implementation, and regular maintenance of closed labs that adhere to NIST and RMF requirements

Qualifications You Must Have

Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of direct experience.

Experience with Mac and PC hardware: laptops, desktops, and servers.

The ability to obtain a security clearance for which the Department of Defense requires US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer

Active security clearance

Current DoD-approved 8570 baseline certifications (e.g., Sec+, CCNA Security, SSCP)

Knowledge of and/or familiarity with NIST 800-53 standards and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Knowledge of networking essentials and Cisco Network Appliances, including routers, Layer 2 and 3 switches, and ASA Firewall/VPN devices.

Working knowledge of DISA STIG and SCAP tools a plus.

Familiarity with administering tools such as Atlassian products, Splunk, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, WSUS, Ansible/Chef/Puppet, etc.

Knowledge of Redhat Identity manager, FreeIPA, OpenLDAP, Samba, NFS, DNS, and other Linux domain services.

Demonstrated ability to support of a fast-paced set of developers and to balance priorities of multiple tasks.

Interest in learning, developing new approaches, and communicating new ideas to colleagues.

Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

Thorough experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Red Hat Virtualization.

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs

or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior

relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
