Overview

RES is the nation's largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 294 stream miles and 58,024 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 9,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 14,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 250 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.

RES is looking for an experienced Analytics Systems Admin to join our IT and Accounting team. As a member of RES' systems team, you'll apply your technical savvy and problem-solving skills by working with our accounting, finance, and operational teams to optimize and maintain our suite of internal systems for maximum operational efficiency. You'll collaborate directly with cross-functional department leads to provide technical guidance, knowledge, and maintenance support to resolve routine and complex issues.

You'll apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to determine the best practices to leverage existing systems and work on integration initiatives. By helping to provide the team with a reliable platform for day-to-day operational activities, you will be part of a larger effort to transform our financial data to make intelligent business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve key operational processes.

  • Develop and execute integration strategies for automation of manual tasks.

  • Create knowledgebase articles for remedying frequently encountered issues.

  • Create training materials and perform technical orientations for new hires, or new application deployments.

  • Deliver weekly systems status reports to Manager identifying problem trends, procurements needs, and resolving open issues.

  • Assist the IT team with implementation work as needed.

  • Prepare and install new computers, monitors, docking stations, and peripheral devices.

  • Provide an excellent customer service experience for internal team.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's or greater in Business, Math, Statistics, MIS/CIS, Informatics, Economics, Operations Research, or other science-related field

  • 2 or more Project Accounting and Corporate Finance experience

  • 1 or more years of Technical expertise in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Relational-Database Management tools such as Microsoft SQL/Oracle

  • Applied operational process improvement experience

  • Experience in JavaScript development

  • A history of academic and professional success

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills

Our technical staff is divided into teams so you’re able to work together on issues and get help whenever you need it.</p><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><p>As a Systems Administrator, you’ll act as the primary technician for a subset of clients on your team. These responsibilities will require you to maintain client satisfaction through the timely resolution of technical issues. Your day-to-day activities will include serving as the escalation point for our help desk, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting in project work.</p><p>While most of our clients are based in Austin, we do have some client locations in Houston and plan to have more in the future. You’ll be responsible for taking care of any onsite work required in Houston and performing remote work to support Austin-based locations.
