The Systems Administrator serves as the hands-on systems administrator for an enterprise Microsoft Windows server-based environment in addition to some Linux servers. The position will implement new technologies and support our current environment including utilizing Microsoft Azure & M365, Hyper-V, Active Directory and GPO, Backup/Recovery, Server and Application Monitoring Tools, Microsoft SQL Server, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tools. This position will also assist in LAN/WAN support, cloud-based software and services support, and participate in our Digital Transformation(DX) initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability, continuity, and security of all company systems, including server, network, and Enterprise Applications.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.

  • Implement technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity.

  • Document and maintain technology policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Full documentation and diagraming of all systems, including server and network infrastructure.

  • Assist in information security strategies and implementations.

  • Asses, plan, and implement a data center refresh and/or cloud migration.

  • Occasionally participate in after business hours work, e.g. monthly maintenance window, production support, emergency break/fix support and off-hour upgrades.

  • Enterprise Application Systems Administration (ERP, CRM, Accounting Systems)

  • Assists in other duties as needed and directed.

Required Skills/Duties

  • Minimum 5 years in handling day to day IT operations (Dell Server, Meraki/Fortinet/Cisco network environment, Saas and Application Administration experience)

  • Strong knowledge of integrations between company IT systems and, both, on-premise and cloud-based software and services

  • Strong vendor management skills - identifying need, vendor assessment, negotiation, and implementation

  • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of Windows Server. Linux experience a plus.

  • Participation in infrastructure design planning and implementation, including server (on-prem and cloud), and LAN/WAN environment(Firewall configuration, VPN, APs, etc).

Meraki, Fortinet, and/or Cisco experience preferred

  • Lead Infrastructure projects and perform project management tasks as required.

  • Interaction with customers, management, and staff on a technical level, as required

  • Responsible for monitoring system performance, network, and storage utilization. Implementation of necessary tools

  • Primary BOX.com Administrator

  • Provide support with escalated help desk requests

  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and GPOs to improve operational efficiency

  • Perform tasks as required by management/supervisory staff;

  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure weekend maintenance and related emergencies

  • Ability to travel when required (Domestic and international)

  • Implementation and configuration of backup software

  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies and implementation

  • Great attention to detail

  • Positive and professional demeanor with a desire to grow

  • Timely response to requests for information, service, and assistance

  • Maintain confidentiality

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (CS, IS, MIS)

  • Intermediate to Advanced Enterprise Applications Administration (ERP, CRM, etc) experience

  • Intermediate to Advanced Network Administration (Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco) experience

  • Enterprise Application Reporting (PowerBI, Tableu, etc) experience a plus

  • Applicable certifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
