AMERICAN SYSTEMS is looking for System Administrators (Level 1) to support the 315th Unclassified Training System (UTS) at Goodfellow AFB (Texas). The candidatewill provide technical support for the software, hardware, wired and wireless network infrastructure, and system security of the UTS and the Sentinel Training System - Secret (STS-S). These two new systems combined will expand the current network footprint of 230 servers and 5300 workstations/zero clients/peripherals, adding an estimated 22 servers, 600 mobile devices, 2250 workstations/zero clients/peripherals, and the wired and wireless network infrastructure needed in 9 buildings across base. The contractor will be primarily support the UTS and STS-S networks and supplement support for the secondary networks.
Other duties include:
Manage user accounts and passwords.
Respond to user requests for assistance and provides advice and support to customers regarding hardware and software malfunctions or inadequacies.
Perform testing, troubleshoot, and correct problems relative to interoperability of system components such as hardware, software, and applications programs to include security and software patches.
Identify and resolves common problems, questions, or situations and provides support in a manner that minimizes interruptions to the customer's ability to carry out business activities.
Maintain accountability for software programs assigned to organization and controls current versions and new releases of applications and software.
Provide Help Desk support for technical assistance, support of multiple software versions, incident processing.
Add, remove, or update user account information.
Set/reset user passwords.
Establish individual user accounts (including e-mail).
Respond to user requests for assistance and provide advice and support to customers regarding hardware and software malfunctions or inadequacies.
Install, support, and maintain desktop computer operating systems, hardware, and software.
Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution.
Perform hardware repair on identified server and client systems.
Identify and resolve common software and hardware problems, questions, or situations.
Maintain accountability for software programs assigned to organization.
Control current versions and new releases of applications and software.

CompTIA Security+ Certification
TS/SCI clearance required
1+ year of experience in:
Learning Management System administration; hardware, software, and maintenance support
System administration, user knowledge and management of Intelligence training applications and systems; Portable Flight Planning System (PFPS), ArcGIS, SOCET GXP, JMPS, JWS, TIPOFF
System administration, expertise, and management of VMWare and Thin or Zero client systems
Network administration, expertise, and management of network switching, routing, wireless access points, and security systems
Building, testing, capturing and deploying system baselines and images
Backup and restore processes/data integrity and management
