Responsibilities include:
Analyze system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments.
Performing routine audit of systems and software.
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
Answer technical queries and assist developers and end users.
Responsible for security of the system.
Responsible for documenting the configuration of the system.
Troubleshoot any reported problems.
System performance tuning.
Configuring, adding, and deleting file systems
Build new development, test and production environments utilizing Dell Blade servers and VMware.
Install and configure VMware ESX server on Dell Blades.
Install and configures VMware Infrastructure Server.
Build Active Directory Domain Servers.
Install and configure infrastructure related software such as DNS, McAfee EPO Servers, CENTRIFY, LDAP and Linux repositories for patching and updates.
Performed daily task of all virtual environments to include building new virtual machines, updating DNS and troubleshooting system problems.
OS (Linux)
Create documentation for builds and upgrades.
Install and configure infrastructure applications and support integration with critical application environment.
Patch and update Linux and VM systems.
Support Certification and Accreditation of Systems.
Tier III support
Shall have three (3) years of direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence activity.

Shall have ten (10) years experience with installation, maintenance, and trouble shooting of LAN, WAN, computer hardware and software.
Shall have five (5) years demonstrated experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, network support, etc., related to computer hardware and software; and providing assistance to users.

Shall have five (5) years demonstrated experience optimizing system operations.

Shall have five (5) years experience ensuring licensing agreements and system currency.

A Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Business Management, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Management, Program Management etc) is desired.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Virtualization System Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD. Roles and Responsibilities: The team is seeking a (Virtualization) Sr System Engineer / Architect, who will be responsible for working and leading a virtualization team in systems design and operations. This candidate will design, build, and integrate all physical, virtual, logical systems and networks. In a highly virtualized VMWare and vCloud Director Environment, this candidate will design and provide a multitude of internal customers with a virtual machine environment to include network setup (VMWare NSX). This System Engineer will be responsible for working on many concurrent efforts and tasks in a fast paced environment. Other responsibilities will include stakeholder and customer support. This team member will often work directly with the government customer to analyze requirements and address technical concerns. This person will document technical design and architecture. These duties will include the design, build and configuration of project hardware such as servers, virtual machines, SAN\NAS, and networking equipment to include multi-level firewalls and switches. Installation and configuration of both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom applications would be a common duty assigned to this position. This person will be the key point of contact for all hardware, virtualization and managing of network resources. This candidate will assist in leading the team in the responsibility for the overall security and compliance controls for this project. This person must be a team player and be cohesive with incumbent staff. Basic Qualifications: * 14 years Systems Engineering experience * Must be able to document system processes, build procedures and system infrastructure diagrams. * Strong experience in networking * Microsoft Server 2008, or 2012/2016 system design and administration * VMware ESXi Server 5.5 or above, including vCenter, vSphere, NSX, and vCloud Director * MS SQL / Databases clustering and administration * MS Windows Server 2008\2012\2016 Active Directory * Microsoft SCCM, SCOM configuration\administration * Current SAN\NAS experience * Current Hardware installation and configuration experience * Experience in scripting in Powershell and\or PowerCLI * Experienced in administration of CISCO, McAfee Enterprise (or similar) Firewalls and networking equipment (firewalls\switches\SAN). * Experience administering firewalls, particularly Cisco ASA's and\or McAfee (formerly SideWinder) a plus. * Experience using NetApp Storage Devices * Experience using Cisco UCS hardware environments * Experienced in Linux Administration Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
