Systems Administrator III

Responsible for collating and verifying data from multiple sources, assisting with the implementation of data software storage systems, and executing data transfer. Oversees the development of new databases, monitors database performance.

Interprets raw data and turns it into usable feedback reports. Utilizes technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. Data is then analyzed, designed and presented in a way that assists the Department in the decision-making process.

Provides, maintains and focuses on data availability assurance, data analytics, data quality and system support. Works as a high-level problem solver using sophisticated approaches such as optimization, data mining, statistical analysis and mathematical modeling to provide solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field; minimum of two (2) years of experience in the support of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure environment or database administration. Equivalencies: Related Associate's Degree OR equivalent academic training from a technical institute/formal military education program (minimum of 900 hours) OR an unrelated Bachelor's Degree AND four (4) years of related experience; graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification AND six (6) years of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR: Two (2) years of experience cleansing, preparing, analyzing and exploring data; experience in:

Statistics; analyzing and visualizing data; creating reports and dashboards; database design development; data models; techniques for data mining and segmentation. Also desirable: Knowledge of data visualization software (i.e., Tableau, Splunk) (must specify on application); experience supervising IT professionals.
