MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Support IT desktop, server, and hardware administration. The role will assist in various server and desktop upgrades and help ensure end users get the proper and timely assistance when needed.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform new workstation and server implementations and upgrades of existing systems.

  • In charge of the Durect IT helpdesk support of client workstations in California and Alabama locations running Windows 2010.

  • Monitoring of backup services, antivirus software, network, and Exchange Server.

  • Take part in maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation compliance.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge / Education

  • AA Degree or higher in computer related field

  • Minimum of 4 years directly related experience in a corporate environment

  • Microsoft Certified Professional Certified / Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert Certification highly preferred

  • ComTIA A+ Certification highly preferred

Skills/Competencies

  • Must know various versions of OS Windows

  • Experience with Office 2007 or higher

  • Must have experience with servers, PCs and laptop troubleshooting and repair

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Highly motivated to learn

  • High attention to detail

  • Should be friendly and patient, and have great customer service attitude

  • Must be willing and able to follow procedural controls related to SarbanesOxley environment

  • Highly Preferred Competencies:

  • Veritas Backup Exec.

  • Windows Server and Workstation

  • Active Directory

  • Exchange Server

  • Cloud Migration

  • System imaging and deployment

Working Conditions

  • Work location in typical office environment, on occasion in cooler server room location

  • Must be comfortable working in environments where chemicals are used

Essential Job Functions

  • Must be able to lift and carry various types of computer equipment weighing up to 75 lbs

  • Must be able to walk, climb, stand, bend (neck and/or waist), kneel, reach, stoop, squat, twist (neck and/or waist), push, pull, and use of both hands for extended periods of time while performing tasks

Salary Range:

  • $94,000 - 102,000 Annually Based on experience
