Lead the Design and implementation of complex technical software and hardware solutions working with Technical Pre-Sales and Configuration teams from vendors. Deploys the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration testing of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware.

Responsible for troubleshooting server problems as reported by users. Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products. Responsible for leading the team in effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

This individual leads the team in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners. Primary Responsibility Lead the Design and implementation of complex technical software and hardware solutions working with Technical Pre-Sales and Configuration teams from vendors.

Lead other team members and other departments solving technical problems including participating in a 7/24/365 production environment. Design, Develop and implement reports on systems capacity and utilization using the information obtained to make recommendations. Recommend workflow and process changes to improve productivity; Document work processes and operating environments.

Lead technical projects building project plans, coordinating tasks, and tracking project progress. Assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.

Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle. Help build new standards and methodologies. Perform training when required.

Work with team to plan assignments for themselves and other team members. Recommend tasks that will need to be accomplished. Assists manager with annual Budget planning.

Configure and modify Operating Systems and supported application software. Install, configure, and implement new hardware into HealthNow environment; Provision hardware to satisfy user requirements and projects. Knowledge and Skills Strong Operating System knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge in sometimes high pressure situations.

Thorough knowledge of Systems Administration concepts like Software Installation, Backup and Recovery, Disaster recovery, Performance management, hardware integration, and capacity planning. Strong technical knowledge and the understanding of the HealthNow operating environment. Project management and project leadership skills Understanding of how to obtain, understand, and implement different technology options.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems in several different disciplines including Operating Systems, Database Administration, Application Development, and Storage Management. Programming knowledge and the ability to write scripts to solve problems. Provides consultation and collaboration to help generate business decisions aligned with strategic direction Qualifications Problem Solving

Skills:

This position requires the ability to recognize problems and then quickly develop a plan of action to resolve the problems. Being able to recognize the key facts, trends, and issues and then separating relevant from irrelevant data is a key discipline one will to need to have to be successful. Someone at this position would be required to seek additional data from a variety of sources when needed.

They would also be required to turn this data into information to recognize trends and potential cause effect relationships. Some examples of problems that someone in this position will be required to solve:
  • Help desk and Computer operations calls with users complaining of software errors and response time problems.

  • Diagnosing and debugging software installation errors and being able to translate error messages into meaningful information to help in the problem determination

  • Working out software problems with Application developers

  • Working out software problems with Vendor

This role will mitigate risk through the use of bleeding edge physical security technology and design to provide a painless, efficient, and innovative approach to physical security. Tesla's Technical Security Team is responsible for securing a complex mix of manufacturing, retail, and corporate facilities that provide a variety of physical and technical challenges. This role will be based in Fremont but will provide global support as needed to support Tesla's growth and mission. Responsibilities * Design, manage, troubleshoot, configure, maintain, support, and optimize complex, integrated, physical security systems * Own global technical security integrations and implementations * Support global security operations team with high availability (24/7), effective response to critical technical security system events * Work closely with internal technical teams (networking, systems admins, infosec, etc.), systems integrators, and vendors to review, build, and deploy technical security solutions * Monitor and maintain technical security systems health including physical devices, databases, and application servers * Test, program, commission and troubleshoot technical security issues remotely with Technical Security Project Managers, systems integrators, and vendors * Harden technical security systems using information security best practices and recommendations * Research, test, and develop new technical security solutions proposed by Technical Security Team and internal stakeholders * Review, develop, and publish technical security system standards including run books, technical specs, architecture diagrams, network diagrams, and other technical documentation * Maintain, compile, and analyze technical security systems data and metrics. Prepare reports for global security leadership and key stakeholders. * Teach global security teammates and internal stakeholders to use technical security systems Requirements * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (information technology, networking, application engineering, system administration, etc. ) * 5+ years experience designing, engineering, and maintaining technical security systems in a corporate or start-up environment with technology background * 5+ years experience integrating enterprise technical security systems with corporate IT/HRIS systems and databases (I.e. Workday, ticketing systems, incident management, corporate travel, etc. ) * Proven experience with technical security system best practices * Experience and deep understanding of enterprise level system architecture highly preferred * Experience with user authentication mechanisms including AD/LDAP, SAML, and SSO highly preferred * Obtain Lenel Certified Expert (LCE) certification within six months of hire * Technical security system certifications (I.e.
