Your Role As a HealthStreamer
Position Summary
The Systems Administrator position is an IT generalist position providing day-to-day operational support for Windows 2019/2022 Servers, Backups, Monitoring, Patches and other network infrastructure functions. Applicants should display excellent technical problem solving skills, a solid understanding of Windows network operating systems, and strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HeathStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Contribute to and maintain system standards
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
Provide Tier I/Tier II and other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
On-call pager/phone on rotational basis.
Off-hours scheduled downtimes require overnight work-hours on a rotational basis
Qualifications
What You Will Need to be Successful
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required
4-5 years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Dell hardware
Thorough expertise in Microsoft platforms
VMware experience a plus
Thorough troubleshooting skills
Ability and desire to thoroughly learn new technologies quickly
Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
Good communication (both verbal and written) skills
Service Now experience preferred
Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
Equivalent years in actual field experience considered.
